So tickets through OU and in the OU section are $25 but section 104 is $65?

It was actually $55 in Section 104 for the seats I picked. The OU Section is in the end zone, I believe. Section 104 is near the 40 yard line. For some reason Section 103 which is near the 20 yard line was showing $65 when I ordered mine. It's worth the extra to me to have better seats and not to have deal with the hassle of the Will Call Window.

Edit: I would have settled for the end zone seats if not for the Will Call business.

The stadium is a bowl, pretty much all seats are good

Your opinion, BTC. I like to be along the sidelines and not in the end zone, where I was at Penn State, Tennessee, etc. Given the difference in prices between end zone and side lines, a lot of folks must agree with me.

True, but did you consider the $65 seats might also include shuttle service?

Al, be prepared, game day parking is on their golf course. And if you want a real challenge I suggest playing the other course, it's a Pete Dye and it's amazing. Kampen I believe is the name.

Thanks. With the switch to Friday night and being on TV, probably not going. Was really looking forward to making a weekend of it like Tennessee - even have two hotel rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn for both nights.

I got this from my sales rep at Purdue:

For your single game parking pass for the Ohio game, those are only available for purchase the day of the game. Your best bet for parking would be in our intramural lots (IM Lot), located on the corner of McCormick Road and 3rd Street. Day of game parking in the IM Lot usually costs around $20.

Looks to be a bit further away, but that's what he recommended to me.

Let me know if you want to sell me your rooms. That hotel is sold out.

You can also park in yards (for a fee), right cross from Mackey.

Absolutely. All I did was got his advice for best spot but what do I know. I expect the green and white to invade, drink up, and take a W back to Athens along with the guarantee check.

Was just giving another parking option for folks. Been to many Purdue games over the years.

FS1, instead of trying to create some off-brand ESPN sports echo chamber, should do something like create a spoof of College Gameday. Put Katie Nolan in the lead seat. They can't figure out what to do with her as it is. Bring her to Ohio-Purdue. Let her make fun of Purdue football for an hour. Have her do an uncomfortable interview with Frank. Have Rufus come up from behind and punch Purdue Pete and steal his sledgehammer. C'mon FS1.

If I had never been to Purdue, I'd probably go, but I had friends there for a few years, and four drives out there is all my sanity can take. It's a great college town and nice campus, but that drive is brutally dull and longer than it looks on a map from Cleveland.

Not crapping on Purdue at all, just the endless soybean fields that sit between me and the campus. For those that go, I recommend a greasy burger at Triple XXX and a stop at the Harry's Chocolate Shop (no chocolate served). Lafayette Brewing Company across the river has decent brew and solid bar food, and if you're in that area it's well worth a stop at the Knickerbocker Saloon, an excellent spot that dates to the 1830s.

I've been to games at Purdue and Northwestern, and they have to be two of the least engaged B1G football fan bases. The stadium offers a nice view of the Convo's near-identical cousin. Hopefully the game will be more interesting than that tidbit.

He's got us there.

My wife likes the spectacle of mascot violence, particularly if the game is boring. Might get some national ink. Do I understand correctly that this year's mascot is not an OHIO student but a student at East Luhrig Tech, a branch of Hocking College? ;-)

I was an undergrad after the infamous Rufus - Brutus punch. I was at a party on Mill Street when the kid who was Rufus (Hocking college student) introduced himself to girls at the party as the kid who punched Brutus.

I'm assuming that promising to donate to Ohio Athletics every time Rufus punches an opposing mascot would violate some NCAA regulations and maybe some laws?

What if I market my donation as the "Rufus Rehabilitation Fund" would it be ok then?

I plan on erecting a statue of the mascot takedown as soon as I hit the lottery. It would be life sized and I would charge admission to have your picture taken with it. The money would go to scholarships. Instant tourist attraction!

I think it should be placed right next to the old Kissing Circle on the Main Green. Enrollment would probably double after it was in place! ;-)

I assume the Marching110 will be in attendance at this game - but do not know that for sure.

In any event, any idea what section will be where the OU fans will be? I have gone out to watch o$u there in my younger years and I think the open end was where a lot of visiting fans sat but wondered if anyone knew for sure.
