Latest from the NWS:

Saturday
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

So tailgating is at risk for a washout, but decent odds that the storms will be done by 7pm.
Channel 4's predicting about a half-inch of rain from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.
Nah.

Not sure what our friend in Jackson will say but we're looking at 1.5 to 2 inches before game time.

The key word here is "before game time." Clear skies and a warm breeze by game time with crisp passes through the air hitting TEs and WRs for TDs in an end zone illuminated by a gorgeous moon is the forecast for the game.

Ending essentially right at game time. Joy.

Given the weather conditions, we're likely to go conservative. Lots of AJ/DUTM. But I think we could still get a 30+ point win if the O line dominates like it's capable of.

MACC season or clean house!!!!!!

Kidding, but I had to do it.
Depending on the weather, I may attend the game tomorrow night. It's a long walk from Richland Ave in the rain w/o an umbrella because you're not allowed to take one into Peden. If it rains as predicted, I could see Ohio running the ball 35-40 times with about 18-20 Pass attempts.

They tear easily and I'll still manage to get soaked when I could easily sit on my couch at home and watch other games on tv and check the ESPN app to keep track of the game

but now that they are selling beer at the games all you have to do is drink enough to forget that you are wet. problem solved. As Homer Simpson once brilliantly said, "Alcohol, the cause of and solution to all of life's problems".

Go Cats!! Time to get this train rollin'

Sounds like a 1973 SAT question.

Purdue is hardly a "buy game."

It's not a home-home. Obviously Ohio isn't playing it for free.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, but hasn't Purdue agreed to come to Athens for a basketball game as partial payment for this game, or was that just what someone on the basketball wished was the case?

By buy I meant real big money like playing at UT or tosu.

I believe the Boliers come to the Convo in coming years. Our non-conference is fine this year, wedge in a roadie to a good EMU team and the start to the season is difficult enough.

I would like to see a mistake free game. Play in control, move the ball, and finish drives.
Don't need to see anything fancy, just good solid football.
Certainly would appreciate seeing Max's improvement. We need a strong performance this year from this position to be successful.

First thing I did was check my weather app and after 4 it's supposed to clear up for the night. It looks like an appearance at Peden Stadium will be in the works for me. I'll have to look for DFC to figure out whatever this "poncho " thing is ;-)

Ponchos are every bit as effective at blocking the views of others.

All you have to do is stand on 3rd down...
