Connectivity is horrible. Hasn't been this bad in about 5 years.

This espn3 feed is unwatchable. I've one connectivity error every minute for the last hour. When i do finally get video, its at least 3 minutes slower than the espn play by play.

No, this is clearly an espn problem.

It seems like a team effort, ESPN3 keeps on crashing out, but when it is working the commercials play fine and the game itself buffers the entire time because we still have a half assed setup apparently that won't work in the rain.

Hampton is terrible. And that's a compliment.

Rourke's pocket awareness is every bit as good as Windham's.

You can rest assured he will, and if not them, ones just as bad - if not worse.

I really like Wears and Burroughs. Two really hard-nosed runners. Glad they got some work.

Also liked switching the QB from shotgun/pistol to under center. We need to have that flexibility on short yardage plays. My son's team blew a golden opportunity for a TD today when the snap was bungled. They weren't used to the QB being under center.

ESPN3 was ... I can't think of a word bad enough. Covfefe, maybe? It seemed to be their problem because it was buffering and dropping even during commercials. Hope they'll have the whole thing on replay.

Little time to enjoy this. Purdue is playing L'ville tougher than I thought. Maybe they're jacked for this game and will let down next week. At least they won't have much tape of our starters from tonight's game.

Purdue looks like a much improved football team. Hoping they use all the gas in the tank tonight and are still tired by Friday

That team was terrible. We really dug deep for this one on the schedule. They couldn't beat Mt. Union.

Ummm, Mount Union is good? The arse end of G5 schools would struggle.

I hope we look sharper against Purdue. I can see how a team may not be at full speed against a team like Hampton. Kinda hard to mentally motivate yourself when you are walking them easily.

I agree that Hampton did not provide a high level challenge. But for this season it is a good opener for us to get some very young players a chance to play and get some game experience.
With two young QB's and a handful of first time starters it is a perfect tuneup for what will be a very challenging schedule.
Fall camp was very long and to be able to reward most of the roster with some playing time has to be a morale booster for everyone.
And the most important thing about last nights game is that there was no injuries!

OU has plenty of history of not taking care of business against "weaker" competition. We dominated last night. The second half wasn't even a ball game. Yeah, maybe Hampton is that bad. Then again, maybe OU is that good.

Recent matchups where we thought we were vastly superior:
2016 Texas State, L (56-54)
2016 Gardner Webb, W (37-21)
2015 SE Lousiana, W (35-14)
2014 Eastern Illinois, W (34-19)
2013 Austin Peay, W (38-0)
2012 Norfolk State, W (44-10)

2016 Sagarin:
Hampton 229
Texas State 201
Gardner Webb 178
Southeast LA 172
Eastern Illinois 176
Austin Peay 236
Norfolk State 237

Ohio playing and thrashing Hampton sure beats the alternative. Not sure what Akron and Kent State gained yesterday being outscored by a combined 108-3 to Penn State and Clemson respectively other than a ton of $.

I would like to have seen a bit more of Duckworth last night. I don't see why he couldn't have gotten in to start the 4th quarter. Game was well in hand by then and both Maxwell and Rourke had plenty of time on the field. I wanted to see Duckworth attempt at least a pass or two. He seems to have the physical tools (eye test).

I know this doesn't tell the whole story of a team, but Cincinnati struggled with Austin Peay (26-14), who was worse than Hampton last year.
