Forest Cat, Poling was injured in the first half. He tried to go after the injury, but was not effective and he was done for the day. Not making excuses, but his absence was a major reason that our defense struggled. Not only is he a playmaker for our"D", he is the leader of that group, and helps to get people where they are supposed to be. Look back at games that he has been injured and you will see games where our defense struggled. It will be interesting to see if he is able to go this week, or if he will save it until Eastern. It goes without saying that we need him healthy, and we need him out there if possible.

Let's remember that Purdue only lost by a touchdown to now #14 Louisville. Purdue may be a pretty good team that doesn't look as good in a pretty good conference.
