There you go OCF ripping on the most successful football coach the Bobcats have had in the last fifty years. Have you spoke to the man to see why he departed? I’m guessing you and many of the others that continue to shred him for leaving have no idea. This football program just finished a run of three straight ten plus win seasons and people want to criticize him instead of the administration.
Here we go again. Nobody has been more critical of the Administration on certain topics, so I think I'm uniquely unbiased here. I don't really have a dog in the fight.
Albin wanted an extension; and started the season so terribly, how could anyone justify it??? The coaching was beyond abysmal @ Syracuse. We got boat-raced and essentially quit at Kentucky. Miami kicked our ass in Oxford. What exactly justified an extension in October/November? Honestly, winning a horrible MAC is great, but it doesn't show me a whole lot. The conference is equivalent to Ethiopia in the '80s - Poverty.
Having teams prepared to play for each of the 12 weeks is more impressive to me. Jumping off the team bus to tend to the sick dog was only the icing on the cake.
Everyone just needs to let it go. I'm sure Tim will take (checks notes) Charlotte, to new heights in the form of the Monopoly Go Bowl -> and Coach Smith should have the 'Cats in Detroit for the coveted Game Above Sports Bowl in no time.
