shot of OCF on the broadcast. Little bit of a schadenfreude grin on his face but otherwise could have looked happier!

Last month, at long last I welcomed my first child into this world. This month, at long last my ‘Cats won a MAC Championship.

Congrats Ohio! The drought was such a strange anomaly. Well deserved championship.

Fabulous. Went down to Court Street for the final minutes, Pigskin was enjoying the game but I didn't see much other attention, surprised Cats Eye wasn't bouncing but Zip and Ellis and most of that crowd were probably in Detroit.

Congrats to the Bobcats and all the fans who stuck with this team for so many years, watching them come so close so many times. Great to see such a dominant championship win.

There has to be big benefits re: guys about to hit the portal at power conference schools that were buried on the depth chart but would like to enjoy a trophy presentation like the one on ESPN a few minutes ago.

I saw Austin Brawley there during the ceremony. Good to see him back with the team despite all the personal matters he's dealing with.

I never thought I'd see us win one again. We went through way too many really tough years then missed the last chances too many times. I am sure a lot of Bobcats young and old will be celebrating tonight. Everyone have fun on Court and Union tonight.

Best highlights from 1968:
- beating Miami
- comeback win over BG
- 60-48 over UC

Bill Hess was voted Ohio Coach of the Year. The Dispatch asked for a quote about how he coached the 10-0 team. In typical Hess fashion, his quote was, "Tell them I am the same coach that was 0-10 in 1965. No change."

Yes, good call. And I think our LB hit PJ Niatray, their QB, and put him out of the game late.
That year we beat Kansas when they were good under Pepper Rodgers who ,postgame, stated "that Todd Snyer and Cleve Bryant are the best combo in the country".

Best line heard from the talking heads of ESPN, "at least one Ohio team can beat their arch rival".

We didn’t win by gimmick. The best team won today, without question. We owned the MAC. Congrats to Coach Albin and the squad. Was Frank on hand?

You are correct. It was Jack LeVeck that hit him, just inside the boundary. Probably today it would have been targeting but not then.
I recall Ken Carmon had a great story about that game that I will not tell. Other than it involved a uniform change.
