.. This week ...it seems like crap happened...

And that's why they play the games, and don't just decide them on paper. Sometimes crap happens. But, tomorrow is another day, and another shot, and a day will come when the crap goes the other way. Nothing about yesterday was good, but nothing changed the ability of this team to reach it's goals.

Go Bobcats.

WARNING: for some of you who still have teenagers in the household, you may not want read the following: One of the noticeable trends in Psychology these days is that adolescence is now lasting as long as twenty-six years of age for a majority of young people, which might explain how we can see some of our scholar athletes go from being absolutely brilliant one week to having unforgivable lapses in judgement the next week. Why is this? Simply put, the frontal lobe and the rest of the brain is still developing. For those of you who can't tolerate such crazy making swings of cognitive ability and judgement, I would suggest adopting one of the many professional teams in the NFL, and thus learn the meaning of the old adage: "any given Sunday." At least with the pros, it is easier to justify ragging on someone who is making millions to play, especially since I doubt that your own time in the forty yard dash is as good as their times..just a thought.

With that in mind, remember that these are kids, even though they are quite big kids. If you don't like inconsistency, the college game is going to drive you crazy. Can you imagine what Oklahoma fans are feeling right now after being beaten by Iowa State over the weekend? Crazy, huh? The reframe here is that the Bobcats actually hung in there and continued to make a game of it against Central Michigan, though, yeah, they certainly kept handicapping themselves tremendously. With a bit of luck and some more practice and development, this team could actually be quite good. I think the hardest thing that the Bobcats have had to deal with in recent years is injuries down the stretch. I suspect that the healthiest MAC teams will be the ones who will be playing for all the marbles at the end of the year. In the meantime, relax and look a bit more at the potential positive here than the negatives.

You can't win when you create turnovers...the old shoot yourself in the foot syndrome.

Just ask the Cleveland Browns.

This was OUR annual high school buddies hit Athens trip. Had 2 RVs at Lake Snowden this year. This is about year number 5 and it was OUr first loss on these trips. My friends loved The Smiling Skull.

I still like OUr offense.

Hopefully the defense won't digress and the turnover numbers go down.
