Really hoping an angry Ohio team and an overconfident BG team line up on Saturday, with the Bobcats leaving Wood County with a two score win.

CMU used a run blitz pretty effectively Saturday. A linebacker or a DB came off the edge unblocked on at least two or three plays and tackled AJ before he hit the line. I don't recall seeing it much this year but we can expect to see it more.

Stop BGs Cleveland or it will be a track meet. I'm not sure if anyone on defense is as fast as him. We stop him. We win....

It would be nice to see the injury list get shorter instead of longer. Here's from Don's Best:
RB
10/10/17 Julian Ross Undisclosed doubtful Saturday vs. Bowling Green
10/09/17 Papi White Hand is upgraded to "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
07/31/17 Maleek Irons Suspension out for season

OL
10/09/17 Durrell Wood Back out indefinitely
10/09/17 Jared McCray Undisclosed "?" Saturday vs. Bowling
10/08/17 Hagan Meservy Ankle "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green

DE
10/10/17 Kevin Robbins Targeting Suspension expected to miss 1st half
10/08/17 Sam McKnight Knee "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
10/08/17 Will Evans Head "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
10/08/17 Keith Key Shoulder "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green

CB
10/08/17 Jaylen Morgan Leg "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
10/08/17 London Miller Leg "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
08/16/17 Mayne Williams Neck out indefinitely

Other
10/08/17 LB Cody Grilliot Leg "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
10/08/17 WR Jerrid Marhefka Leg "?" Saturday vs. Bowling Green
08/30/17 WR Elijah Ball Knee out for season

While the list is long, most of these are backups. It definitely cuts into depth, though, especially at RB and DE. Having Shallman back will help a lot at DE, and Conrad is doing a great job, after his position switch from TE.

The place with missing starters is the OL, with McCray, Wood, and Meservy particularly among the backup offensive linemen. Sink, Grimes, and Kuhar are three others that may or may not be injured. That makes the OL a bit of a mystery. I'm guessing the starting line will be Lowery, Anderson, Preuhs, Hays, and Pleasants, though if Kuhar is healthy, he might start at RT, and Sink, if healthy, might start at a guard.

so apparently the big 14 apologized to ohio state u about a targeting incident.

will OHIO receive any similar treatment from the conference officials that have taken so much from us over the years? can those suspensions be overturned?

You certainly kid, right? This is the MAC . I'm surprised they even review the refs performances ... let alone ever acknowledge gross misconduct.

That would be 24/7 full-time job with a lot of their refs/officials ...

Interesting that McCray is listed as "undisclosed"...he's got to be on concussion protocol, don't you think? That list is long, but OL and DE are definitely the ones that concern me most. I thought Frank was non-committal in the presser about whether Wood would be available. Hopefully Meservy will be ready to go. Never thought I'd feel that way about a true freshman.

This doesn't do Ohio any good, but I'd like to see the MAC suspend the player who hit McCray for a game.

The MAC and Big10 are in the same officials consortium, same leadership, same processes. All targets are reviewed.

So do we score 40+ this week? In our first six games we had 59, 21, 42, 27, 58 and 23.

An “overconfident” BG??? They’ve won just one game all season and they know they suck. There hasn’t been an overconfident BG player, team, coach or fan since 2015.

I'm not sure they ever admitted that McCabe & Co. blew the safety call in Buffalo. As I recall, they just quietly didn't assign that crew to any more games the rest of the season.

Actually they did

"In review, the proper call was intentional grounding, however, Ohio's Tettleton threw the pass in the field of play and not from the end zone," Mid-American Conference coordinator of officials Bill Carollo said in a statement. "This play should not have resulted in a safety. The next play should have been fourth down at the spot of the incomplete pass. This was an officiating error with regard to judgment and the officiating mechanics by the covering officials."

The crew also took a serious downgrade and lost out on post-season assignments

Was Doyt Perry the only person ever named Doyt? I've never seen another one.

I ask the important questions everyone else is scared to ask.

A lazy search for famous Doyts came up empty.

I'm not most tech savvy person. So I imagine other DIRECTV users already know this. But I just found out ESPN2 (channel 207) you can click the red button and it opens espn3 app to view ESPN3 games. No need for the old computer/hdmi hookup. I was impressed with this new to me feature.
