Akron and Buffalo can both give the Cats a shock. I’m sure Solich let them celebrate last night, they deserve to do so, but I would assume today when everyone gets into the building it’s back to business. This team almost beat WMU last year in the MACC. I have a feeling there’s still a huge chip on their shoulder to finish what they’ve started. They had their blunder against CMU. Let’s hope that’s out of the way.

Facing Toledo again will be tough. Especially considering after what happened last night, it’s worth noting how cold it was. MACC is played inside at Ford and with those conditions I would expect Toledo to have more success throwing the ball. They almost beat Miami at Miami (the #8 team in the country), so after getting walloped last night I would think they’re seven shades of pissed off right now.

Love the physicality Ohio showed last night. Anytime you rush for 400 yards is great, but especially doing it in the biggest game of the season. Rourke only threw 15 times last night and due to the success running, the offense was able to attack Toledo vertically and it was clicking. Honestly didn’t expect that to happen last night. Today’s a great day to be a Bobcat

as great as last night was, Akron still controls their own destiny. We've clinched nothing.

Also as great as last night was, we're not 28 points better than Toledo. If we both get to Detroit, expect a war. I like the idea of a rematch though. This game would have a nice edge to it.
Dead. On.

While that might arguably be the best MAC win in the Solich era ... maybe one of the best wins ever at Peden Stadium?

But in the grand scheme ... big picture of things ... it means nothing in terms of Ohio reaching their ultimate goal.

Next week's game is HUGE. Win that ... and there's reason to really celebrate.

Lose that ... and last night means almost nothing.

If Ohio faces Toledo again, the situation will be different in three important ways:
1. The teams will have equal amount of rest. For this game Ohio had 8 days, while Toledo had six.
2. The game will be indoors. The cold weather outside bothers the passing game much more than the run game.
3. Toledo will have more understanding of what they did wrong, and will correct some things.

Add to that the fact that Toledo will definitely want revenge from being embarrassed, and I look for an even, hard fought game. The rematch, however, will never happen unless Ohio beats Akron, and Toledo beats WMU.

Reading this again is kind of funny ... so many people alluded the Akron loss without directly saying it.

What a face plant by this program Tuesday night!
