Ohio is completely dominating the MAC’s so-called “best” team! Ohio beat Toledo in the Glass Bowl, is beating them in Peden and will beat them in Ford Field!

That....was....WAY TOO EASY!!! Toledo has no answers for Ohio. None whatsoever. It's gonna be a walk in the park over them in Detroit!

I agree. In the first half Ohio was slowed down by turnovers if not could have hung 50 points on them. Sure the D is unlikely to play lights out in Detroit but should cruise comfortably anyways.

Toledo has to play BG and WMU yet so they may not make it to Detroit. Ohio has to face The Roo but they don't have a puncher's chance.

I may be off base here, but personally if possible, I'd rather face NIU. I think it would be fitting for this program to exercise some demons against NIU...

What a win. The offense has been good all year, but its nice to see the defense coming around too.

Just need to take care of business against Akron and we will likely be the betting favorites heading into the MAC title game.

It would be better to draw NIU. They aren't half the offense of Toledo.

I agree with everything said. We balled out, but before we got ahead of ourselves let’s just beat Akron. We laid an egg vs. CMU. We gotta treat this game like we’re playing Toledo again to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Also if we beat Akron and play Toledo again I’m sure it won’t be this easy. Gotta keep grinding and take it one game at a time.

I agree it was an awesome ass whooping, and it is hard to argue against us being the clear favorites at this point.

But the MACC is far from ours. Given our history of eluding that precious MACC, we all should understand that. A lot can go wrong.

That was as satisfying as a win in quite some time.
I feared Woodside throwing for about 450 and 5.
Big hat tip to Burrow and the defense.

Anyone who thinks that the MAC East race is over because we played so well against Toledo is only showing everyone how little they really understand about college athletics in general, and college football specifically. One only needs to visit the school up Rte 33 and review the happenings of the last two weeks to gain perspective. After a tremendous comeback against Penn State, Buckeye Nation jumped back on the bandwagon claiming that OSU would surely make the Playoffs, and their quarterback was now the front runner for the Heisman trophy. Did anyone mention that the Buckeyes needed to prepare, then travel to Iowa ?? Please do not eat the "rat poison" that will be scattered out everywhere between Athens and Akron this week.
Make your travel plans to Akron. Bobcat fans need to look back in the history of Ohio athletics, (way back) and bring back an old tradition that has been snuffed out by a number of less than stellar "pre-Solich" seasons. Does anyone else remember when Ohio students would select an upcoming away game, (usually Miami) and declare the weekend BOBCAT MIGRATION ?? Frats would make arrangements to stay with their "brothers" at the host school, friends would call old high school buddies who obviously made the wrong choice in schools to attend, and reserve floor space in dorms on campus and make plans for a post game victory party in the opponent's uptown night spots. etc etc etc! I am not sure that downtown Akron is a highly ranked party destination, so we will have to do our best at their very nice football stadium.
The first "group", frat, or organization to commit to this "Bobcat Migration" should be "The 110" !
BOBCAT MIGRATION, see you next week!

I agree with doubledribble. Last night was ours, but Toledo will bounce back and Akron will be a tough game.

There is actually 3 or 4 bars immediately across the street from Akron's stadium, but even a modest number of Bobcat fans would likely triple their annual sales in one evening. (similar to fans being in their stadium)

This makes me nervous. It is very difficult to beat the same team twice in one season.

This is a myth (similar to the basketball myth that it's tough to beat a team three times) that is not backed up by facts. While it rarely happens in college football that a team meets twice in the same season, it does happen occasionally. In terms of the MAC Championship games, there have been four times where it has been a rematch of a regular season game. In those four games, three times the team that won the first time won the second time as well.

The 110 will be in Columbus on Tuesday or their annual year end performance at Ohio Theatre. They’ve done this show for some 40 years and the date is set well before the MAC football schedule is released.

Right, if a team won a game that could have gone either way, that's one thing, but most of the time, a team wins the first time or two because it is better. Nothing changes the third time.

That said, I certainly don't think Ohio is as much better than Toledo as it looked tonight. Coming into the game, evidence probably pointed toward Toledo being the slightly better overall team. Not true anymore, but form one game to the next, things can change a lot. I would not expect Ohio to win so handily a second time around.

Two points. First, let’s beat Akron before we Beat our chests. Second we finally unleashed the defense. More blitzes than the entire year put together. Let’s continue to play aggressive defense and not be vanilla like we were against Miami where we gave up 350 passing yards and did not blitz much at all.

If we played Purdue again they probably would not beat us by three touchdowns. If we played CMU again we would probably win. If we play Toledo again we probably won't win by 28. We were a 3 point underdog at home. It think this game changes that to the point that if we play on a neutral field we be might be favored - or not. It would be a betting line close to zero. I think that we are only going to be a 6 or 7 point favorite against Akron. That's more than it would have been a few weeks ago but it is still a game that we could easily lose. We might not get away with three turnovers again. If we had them at home on equal rest it would be around two touchdowns but that will not be the case.

as great as last night was, Akron still controls their own destiny. We've clinched nothing.

Also as great as last night was, we're not 28 points better than Toledo. If we both get to Detroit, expect a war. I like the idea of a rematch though. This game would have a nice edge to it.
