OCF must be in the ear of Michael Reghi and his color commentator. They keep touting Brendan Cope as the great, all-MAC WR OCF has been predicting since Cope's freshman season.

Another November to forget. We started out with the two big wins against Miami and Toledo that made it look like we are on our way. Then complete disintegration . Sad.

Last two games the Bobcats are down to 29ppg. Winning the bowl game is looking like less of a lock where the off has trended the past couple of weeks.

The loss of RB Brown by the cheapshot Akron lard azz may be the difference in the offense. Look at his Toledo results and it turned out Brown and AJ were a fine one two punch. Different dynamic with Brown in the backfield as well as returning kicks.

Running back health has been an issue for the second straight year. IMHO the loss of Brown last week was the nail in the coffin for that loss. This week it was the loss of AJ so early.

Depressing, life sucking loss. Not shocking though, I think we were all expecting this result. Too predictable.

I live in central Ohio so I get some sadistic satisfaction reading the letters to the sports editor of disgruntled tOSU fans. This board reads a lot like those letters and it isn’t as fun seeing it here.

The discourse has moved from discussion to statements of absoluteness while discounting others’ opinions. For me it has moved from BOBCAT attack to Bobcat ATTACK.

I hate that I feel like this but I have no interest in watching this game and depending on who we play I may not feel like watching the Bowl game. I am still dejected by the inability to get to the MACC. I have watched this program year in and year out and defended our mediocrity to my other MAC friends too many times. I hope we finish 10-3 but I actually predict a loss to Buffalo.
I'm in that camp, too. I planned to attend the Buffalo game and make the drive to Detroit next weekend. Now, I'm playing golf and heading to the casino for a poker binge. I might listen to the game if I'm in the car, but I've moved on.
LOL. "We aren't the champions? I quit!"
After that 1st quarter, I'd say the team shares my thoughts. Solich really has the team playing their best every November, doesn't he?
At least we show our true form every November......

And this year we really can't use injuries as an excuse. I know some of you will try but this is definitely the healthiest our impact players have been in years.

So with that, can someone dig up my old "The Ask Frank Nicely to Leave Thread?" I want that brought to the front and ask that Solich be axed.
So Frank committed the turnovers that cost us the Akron and Buffalo games? Your logic is amazing ... and you need to re-look at all the injuries. Ross was back just today after being out. And Burroughs was running the ball as well .. 4th on depth chat.

I'm tired of the injury excuse. Every MAC Program goes through it. My logic is this team should have beaten Buffalo back with no questions asked, instead it became what today is.

At some point, you gotta win the ones you should and potentially lose the 50/50 games. If you really thought Buffalo was a 50/50 game coming into the season/week then I'd have called you crazy.

Nonetheless, what excuse will you have after our bowl game?

I'm more of a reason guy instead of excuse, but we were playing this game with a true freshmen running back and a walkon. Our #1 receiver was out. I'm not quite sure we are playing with our best skill players in this one.

The coaches recruited the entire team, and they prepared the team for the past two games. The secondary is atrocious. How can any sane person watch Ohio Football in November every year and not blame the coaches for the general lack of energy and corresponding, puzzling losses? OU lost two games that they were 10+ point favorites and another that they were favored by 7. They underachieved and nothing the guys drunk on green Kool-Aid says is going to change my mind. Losses like these are the identity of the Solich era every bit as much as the 7.5 wins every year.

You know what Frank did that set the complete tone of the game from the start? 4th and 1 and a punt. Then he goes for it on 4th and 6 later in the game. We punted to start the game and it was 14-0 from there. There was nothing to lose for Frank to go for it on 4th and 1 to start the game. That is on him and unfortunately, there are too many of those throughout the years that they add up.

This isn't rocket science; athletic teams, businesses, individuals etc have to assess what they do right and what the do wrong. Through the years, Bobcat football have had too many Novembers to forget rather than ones to remember. This one is on the players and coaches, no two ways about it. Every team gets banged up in November, some rise to the top while others falter. We know the teams and coaches who rise to the top and the ones that don't.

Love him or hate him, Nick Saban's Crimson Tide seem to get better and fight through injuries. He's the best Alabama coach since Bear Bryant and the pressure he faces seems to only make him and his teams better. On the flip side, look at our performances in the last few years. Now I am going to cut Mark Richt some slack since he's only been a couple of years at the helm at Miami. However, talk about all Hoopla and no follow through, all sizzle and no steak. When they are at home with their turnover chain, hip South Beach followers and glitterati on the sidelines, the Hurricanes seem unbeatable. Otherwise on the road, they can't put teams with losing records away and today it all caught up with them. This kind of thing would never happen to Nick Saban. To use another cliche, that's what separates the contenders from the pretenders.

The last two games were mainly about which team wanted it more. Last week Akron got jacked over their ten game losing streak against us and the prospect of their first East title in something like 12 yrs. For Buffalo today it was bowl eligibility and senior day.

A very disappointing end to the season but the "fire Frank" talk gets long in the tooth. It's not like we were blown out by two nobodies. We lost to the East Division champs on the road and the Bulls were playing for bowl eligibility. I, for one, am looking forward to the bowl game and think next season is our year! I didn't expect 2017 to be this good of a season anyway.

Stop it!

We lost to a far inferior team in Akron where Ohio was a 15 point favorite.

Lost to another inferior team in Buffalo where Ohio was favored by nearly a touchdown...and showed little signs of life out of the gate in that one.

I'm not screaming to Fire Frank ... but those aren't "good losses"

Those are indefensible losses when you had arguably the best team in years with a very real chance to win your first league title in nearly 50 years.

Don't try to sugarcoat it with the "Oh well, didn't think we'd be any good anyways" stuff.

Team ... and most notably ... this coaching staff is to held accountable. This falls in line with similar nonsense that has plagued this program for 13 years ... when does it change?
