Unfortunate how ESPN couldn't let him enjoy the moment with his team right after. Kind of crappy to me personally

I know what you mean. But kinda his fault for making the news early IMO. It's never convenient though.

Arizona State can come off of TOS's job prospect list. Herm Edwards (whose ONLY college coaching experience is as a DB coach well before any of his current/future players were born) is official there now

Shocking that this finally shook out.

Speaking of ASU, what would be the thoughts on Todd Graham going to UTEP? Seems to be a logical fit

If he's interested in coaching the pros, the Giants need a coach and GM.

I usually wait until Black Monday to announce what jobs he can go for, but then again I think TOS had his hand in that decision #blametos

Would be a very logical fit. I don’t think money would be an issue considering he’s getting a cool 12 million from ASU. He’s a Texan who nearly ruined their California pipeline because he only wanted to recruit guys from Texas. I can’t really see another program taking interest in him, especially from a coordinating standpoint given his historically bad defenses (he’s supposed to be a defensive czar).

UCF hires Josh Heupel. Kevin Sumlin was reportedly the front-runner, which means he's either (a) waiting on FSU to decide on Taggart so he can decide on FSU, Arkansas, or Tennessee, or (b) decided to spend the next year or so rolling around in that Texas A&M buyout money.

A lot of movement on the TOS Job Board. Btw, what is everyone's thoughts to doing TOS Threads like this moving forward? Or does everyone prefer for each job to salivate in front of TOS's eyes.

I couldn't find the exact quote but Willie Taggart was asked about what defense he wanted Florida State to run he said he didn't know but whatever it is it will be a "damn good defense". How is this lack of detail oriented response worthy of a 30 million dollar contract?

Simple, best coaches fit the system to the talent available then adjust as the talent emerges. Other coaches try and jam kids into a system.

Fans putting up a fight in Knoxville.
The Fox Sports radio station in Knoxville is supposedly reporting that the Schiano deal is off, but he'd already signed the contract, and the university may owe him $20 million.

Amazing if true.
This article came out today. Seems like he could make a claim for 75% of the $27.7M contract. This could get more interesting.

Always thought Jinks was too good of a coach to run BG into the ground.

I thought they'd show improvement this year ... not so much.

But maybe Pelini helps get that defense over the hump and the offense finally starts clicking for them.

Always felt like them and Miami were Ohio's biggest competition for MAC East supremacy.

He’s 64 and set for life($6.6M over the next 3+ years minus pay at OSU). He still wants to coach and return to a place he was at for a long time. Plus he doesn’t have to face questions all the time about the teams record. Sounds like a good place for a good guy.
