If you read your earlier post, the #1 benefit you cited (sharing tickets) requires internet connectivity, which apparently does not exist in Petticoat Junction or wherever it was that you conducted you instant customer survey last week. You remember - you claimed you were told by season ticket holders that they were not going to renew.
At his age, he’s struggling to remember where the bus stop is. Sorry OCF, SBH has this one.

No, he doesn't "have this one." He is either purposely misconstruing what I said, or he is being obtuse. This is what I said in my original post that he is quoting out of all context:

Yes, I've talked to some family pack ticket holders, and they are probably not going to want to go through the hassle of going online and printing out tickets. Though internet access is better in Glouster than it used to be, not every home has DSL and/or a working computer. Some just go to the Glouster Public Library to use the computers there. Unless this new system includes "ticket cards" I don't think the AD is being very culturally sensitive.

This was based on my passing on the misinformation on this site that there would not be a "mail me the tickets" option. So, these folks were reacting to a scenario that turned out not to be true. One can't always believe everything you read on BA. Shocking, isn't it? Note that I added even in this first post that "ticket cards" would solve this problem if it was indeed an option. It would be the best of both worlds -- a simple card that you could keep with you that would be cheaper than printing out individual tickets for each game. It would also allow you OPTIONALLY to print out selective tickets. There is a big difference between REQUIRING you to print out a ticket for each game or downloading one to your smartphone and making printing out a ticket an option, which you might do once a season or not at all. As I've said, in this scenario your card is your ticket.

Now, we don't actually yet know if we are going to have a ticket card or individual printed tickets. All we know, which I discovered when I ordered my tickets, is that despite what you read earlier on BA, there is an option to "mail me the tickets." Both Doc Bobcat and I are hoping that they'll be the ticket cards.

I've seen reruns for everything else in my life, but when was the last time Petticoat Junction was on TV?

You guys really need to be careful, referring to someone as "obtuse".

Look what happened to Andy when he called the Warden that in Shawshank. :-)

Panthers and Hornets both have gone away from printed tickets. Much easier - go online and print PDF or just access them on your phone. Makes it soooo much easier to manage and transfer tickets. So if my kid decides to meet us at the game, I simply forward the ticket to him as PDF or transfer via my account, Out of town Bobcats will love that feature. Going to Hornets tonight - never met the guy - friend of a friend - simply emailed me the access to the tickets. I emailed one to my son, printed out the others.

A caveat is you can not print all of your tickets out a once - must be within 14 days of the game. Throws a small wrench into folks trying to sell their whole season - but manageable. They also send an email to you when your tickets are live. Takes you right to the pdf. Assuming the most elderly of ticket holders can print anything off of their computer they are fine - it is that simple - open email - click on "print tickets" - takes you to PDF - print and you have paper tickets. If they can't manage that I doubt they are eating solid food, let alone going to Ohio games. Just kidding - but it is easy. Glad Ohio has the old fashion dockets for those that want them.
Ease is not the issue, cost savings is.
Cost saving is an issue? For whom by whom? And how does going to electronic tickets negatively impact that issue?

Reading all the bitching on here. "Hi. 2018. Have we met?"

If they want to make it electronic via an app and i can share those tickets with my friends with the ease of a couple swipes and never have to worry about if i forget my physical copy ticket when i leave Cleveland for the game, bc they're on my phone. Awesome. I use Flash Seats now at the Q. Ticket Return. Seat Geek. All these are electronic and work great.

The socio-economic argument doesn't hold true - just about everyone has some form of smart phone now.

In fact, I hope they do something smart like contract with Flash Seats for a rebranded Bobcat Seats App that allows us to have parking, tickets, Bobcat Club membership card, tailgate party entry all on one app. I'd even suggest they tie it into concessions by attaching a credit card to the app and i can pay for everything on game day through the app. I hate having to make sure I have a wad of cash with me at the Tower Club.

I say let the past die. Let's win the future!

Here, I thought I was going to have Doc Bobcat award me "word points" for correctly using that word in a sentence; however, I only end up with a movie trivia exchange. ;-)

My reference, actually, is to a 1960 TV series.

From Mayberry to Shawshank - you do not want to be obtuse. So just nip it.

McBin - possible the increase is directly correlated to the amount of Ohio Bobcat Club dollars assigned to premium seats and a marginal annual increase on top? This would be a way to cover most people who itemize tax deductions and who will no longer do so with the increase in the standard deduction. If that’s what is going on I am more likely to stay the course.
Very possible, I suppose. I did figure some schools would have a change due to tax changes, but figured they might fill us in on the changes. I suppose things will be different for each individual, but the itemizing seems like it may be a thing of the past for me going forward, or nearly a wash if I do so.

Ha ha. You are not wrong. But Athens is a unique place. Many locals really don't have electronic access like you'd think. And there are even old school guys like me who are not in Athens that still don't use the latest tech. Some of those fans are among the heaviest financial supporters of Ohio Athletics. Cripes, I had to collect money at work and nearly all of the millennials asked if they could pay me via Venmo. Ven what? It's 10 bucks. Pay me in cash or check (what's that?)
