Primer by Arkley. Looks like only two QB's will be available in the Spring. Rourke will miss the entire camp.

Rourke had surgery on his (non-throwing) shoulder.

Same for Evan Crouch. Off season surgery no spring camp. Good to go in the fall, I believe.

Initial thoughts:
-Jake Neatherton is doing a fine job taking the mullet torch from AJ
-Irons is back
-Nice pass breakup by I think #14. That would be Cam Gunnels if the roster is accurate
-Julian Ross looks like he's added some muscle

(Probably the kiss of death here) With limited injuries our backfield should be really, really good this year. Also, getting the ball into Papi's hands often is exciting.

With the improvements to the weight room and the weight program, the injury bandwagon will lose all its momentum. Right? right? right?

I think RF Willie Cherry is a 6'1" version of Papi.

Cherry was the one who was impressive as a freshman but wasn't needed so he got a redshirt. He can learn this year with Odom, Papi, Meyer and Ball leading the way. Sounds like a great receiving corp.

AJ being healthy will be huge but having Ross and Irons there to help out will be even bigger with Dorian gone.

Irons had a DUI right? Was there something else or am I mistaken?

OK, so this past year when he was suspended counted against his eligibility since he'd already had a redshirt? Is that correct?

Your clock begins the day you enroll and step foot in class. 5 years to play 4

Can't you in some circumstance get a sixth year for a medical redshirt? I realize this doesn't apply to Irons, unless he wants to claim that his behavior was due to some type of mental illness! ;-)

You can get a 6th year with a hardship, however those are rare and mostly hard to get (see Antonio Campbell), and those are ONLY granted after the 4 years of eligibility are used. In the case we are discussing a suspension from campus for disciplinary reasons is NOT a reason for an extra year.

No hard data to back it up, but it seems a 6th year is typically granted to football and basketball players from power conferences and not to Ohio University-type schools. Or maybe it's just my imagination.

No we have had a few. Durrell Wood just got a 6th year.
