Some interesting names on the coaching staff. Howard is coached by foirmer Richmond and UVA coach Mike London. Also on the staff are former NFL players Vince Brown (Defensive Coordinator), Ras-I Dowling (Cornerbacks Coach), David Clowney (Inside Receivers Coach) and Cato June (Safeties Coach).

Ahh, the first one of these that will be on ESPN+. I'll enjoy the dulcet tones of Russ and RobC while sitting on the beach, sans video.

RC: "Papi really caught them by surprise on that one, no chance for the defense to catch Papi on that one..."

Excuse my ignorance...but will ESPN+ games be streamable on ESPN3?

Pretty much the sole reason I keep my cable package is for my ESPN3 login. So if I'm all the sudden unable to watch half the Ohio football and basketball games on ESPN3 anymore, I see no reason to continue paying $45 a month for my TV subscription.

No. ESPN+ is $4.99/month. ESPN3 is free but my guess is they'll be moving most content over to ESPN+.

We cut the chord as of last week. We're all in on Hulu. They tell me I can still use WatchESPN/ESPN3.... we are keeping our Spectrum internet.

I expect to see the clinic from our offense going early and going often.

Ohio 51
Howard 14

Only because I will gripe about Jimmy Burrow's corners getting torched early.

Otherwise, hope for beautiful weather and one heckuva Labor Day Weekend of Football!

I'm giving considerable thought to cutting the cord. In unsurprising news, ISPs, reacting to growing legions of cord cutters, are raising their internet connection rates. So, yes, if I cut the cord for TV, I expect savings to be brief, blown up by rising internet connection rates.

This is what I have and it is correct. I will say the Hulu streaming interface suuuuuuucks though. I don't want to get rid of it because the Hulu library is so extensive.

No. ESPN+ is $4.99/month. ESPN3 is free but my guess is they'll be moving most content over to ESPN+.

And how about the reverse question? Will ESPN3 games be viewable through ESPN+? Or, are they just totally separate and independent products?

Howard had a fairly strong showing against FBS opponents last year. They went 1-1.

They beat UNLV 43-40, and lost to Kent State 31-38.

I'd be lying if I said I did extensive research on Howard, but if the 'Cats want to put this to bed early, I wouldn't be upset. They cannot let this team stick around.

Howard's starting QB is Cam Newton's little brother, if I remember correctly. He is a solid rushing QB, with 12 rushing TD's last year. He seems to have a problem with INT's, as he threw 12 INT's compared to 13 passing TD's last year. Contain and pressure the QB, and the 'Cats should have a W.

I'll say OHIO wins 35-17.

I'm hoping for this scenario - I plan to go to Little Fish or Shade Winery mid 3Q to round out the day.

That's an excellent trivia question. But I thought I was pushing the age limit with the Howard Cunningham reference...

Do they still run re-runs of Happy Days? I'm talking the pre-jumping the shark episodes.

No. And I blame Scott Baio for that.

Talk about thread drift. Did You Know: Happy Days was a spin-off that led to a number of spin-offs, including Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy.

So really it was like the Marvel Cinematic Universe before that was even conceived?!
