What stands out is that Ohio University paid Morgan State $75 to $100 K more per game than several MAC schools paid FCS schools in 2024. Also James Madison paid Gardner Webb $250 K in 2024 and I think Ohio is giving GW $350 K this fall to play them in Athens.

1. If OHIO pays more to an FCS team than someone else, is that a bad thing? Having a reputation of paying well certainly gives us a better reputation among FCS schools and shows we have some fiscal resources that are solid, if not P4 spectacular.

2. Is it possible that Bobcat1996 is a woman? You know what a cat fight looks like? They can be ugly!

Out of curiosity, do these games get negotiated in a vacuum?

I'd assume not, and that ADs are likely bundling things together (for instance, games for other sports).

This AD is not being fiscally responsible. Check out the Marshall crowds the last two times they traveled to Athens. Ohio has no business playing WVU three times for a total of one million dollars. WVU pays FCS schools 500 K and Ohio is making less than 335 K per game. Great deal! Look at the FCS payments Ohio has made to schools compared to other conference schools. Many power four schools paid the same or less than Ohio paid to a FCS school last season. Terrible business deal, but hey many of you excuse these blunders, so go congratulate her for these terrible miscues. The WVU and Marshall crowds will be similar. Play Marshall home and home and then play WVU twice for what Akron is getting. However, many of you think playing three power four schools in consecutive weeks is good for this football program. Check Toledo and the schedule they play. Do you see three consecutive power four programs on that schedule? Ask Jeff Boals if he would like to play 75% of his non league schedule vs power four schools? We all know the answer to that question. If it is fine for the football program to play 75% of non conference games vs power four schools, then why is ok for the basketball program to play zero power four games? Nobody seems to have a response for those questions.
