This kid is already a man, goes up strong and finishes through contact. He will be starting next year, book it.

Dream starting lineup next year:
PG: Sears
SG: EJ4
SF: AJ Brown
PF: BVP
C: DW3
Bench: Miles, Rod, Ezuma, Clayton, Olumide, Towns, Sheldon

Realistic starting lineup:
PG: Sears
SG: Miles
SF: Aj Brown
PF: Clayton
C: DW3
Bench: EJ4, Rod, Ezuma, Olumide, Towns, Sheldon
And this is assuming Hadaway is not overtaking the PF spot and Boals does not bring in a transfer if someone leaves

Dream scenario if BVP and DW come back. We can really do some serious damage next year. Incredible depth when you put it on paper and that's IF BVP and DW3 come back.

I know that's what is assumed, but I haven't seen that quote directly coming from him. Would be great if Jake H could do a podcast with him or for Russ to have him on as a guest on the radio show.

A.J. is leading 23-4 Orlando Christian Prep in scoring at 17.8 per game. Team is on a 13-game winning streak. MaxPrep ranks him as the No. 8 player in Florida. That's saying something!!!

Boals magic...hitting their stride on the recruiting trail. Can't wait to see AJ in green and white.

AJ and EJ are going to destroy MAC teams for many years! Toss perhaps three more years of Sears with them and holy cow -- we will dominate.

Gotta beg to differ with you, Bobcat1998. I believe both of these players have the ability to be all-MAC caliber. But are you looking at the talent on other teams in the conference? They've hit the transfer portal hard and brought in serious athletic big guys, including some really long, tall guys with skills, as well as several freshman of this caliber. I truly believe this is what's a problem for us now, that guys other MAC teams picked up in the transfer portal are outplaying our freshmen and sophomores, with the exception of Sears. I like both AJ and EJ. And I think we have a chance to be a really good. But I believe the conference is gonna be brutal. It's gonna be a real dogfight!!!

AJ scored a team-high 16 in a playoff win over Central Florida Christian Academy, 57-44, Friday night. Orlando Christian Prep is the No. 1 ranked team in Class 2A and has an Orlando high school record 45-game winning streak.

It shows that to be at the top of the league that it's necessary to balance recruiting freshmen with recruiting transfer portal players that have college basketball experience.

Is OCP a real Florida high school that competes for the state's high school athletic association championship? Or is it an "academy"?

Orlando Christian Prep (25-4) continues to roll, beating First Baptist Academy (26-3) last night, 60-52, in the Florida State Tournament. OCP plays Sagemont on Saturday morning. So how did our guy do? A.J. scored 10 of his 17 points in the final quarter.

OCP is a small school. Total enrollment in Pre-K to 12 is only 600 students. They play in 2A which is for Grades 9-12 under 360 students.

I was surprised how few fans were in the video for a state finals game.

Maybe he's smart enough to know that he can get to the NBA without entering the transfer portal. ;-)

+1

Certainly helps when guys like Preston and Rollins make it. Hopefully these guys are paying attention that you can get to the league from the MAC.

Great pic on twitter over the weekend of AJ..Lamar and Isaiah Brown. AJ checked in for summer and Isaiah basically on an "unofficial" visit. And also...Isaiah as he heads into sophomore year in HS is already taller than AJ.
