I don't think I've ever seen anything like this. Video of AJ giving his commitment to Boals in front of the student section at the football game.

We seriously have a special one here. Brown’s interviews are top notch too. The trajectory of what this program was recruiting 5-7 years ago to today is astounding. Thank you Jeff Boals.

You mean when we were recruiting stiffs like Jason Preston, Jason Carter, and bvp?

I'm talking about overall depth of the caliber of players in recruiting classes. I think we all get the sense we are going to see less swings and misses with this coaching staff versus prior regime.

Why are we still looking backwards casting shade on prior coaches that are now coaching elsewhere? Hasn't it been long enough that we should have moved forward? 😉

Texas A&M and Clemson had also offered, along with several other good mid majors.
Those are great offers, but the Penn and Yale offers are the ones that really say something.
Absolutely. Very, very cool to get quality players at Ohio that could have gone to an Ivy League school.

I know it's a long shot...but BVP can come back for a COVID year. Highly unlikely I know, but my god...it would be amazing if he did.
Maybe he wants to earn a 3rd or 4th degree (which would be more than some big major's entire roster).
Start work on a Ph.D.?

Since we were talking about the link to 247, I put it in here. Also, for whatever reason, Eagle's link above didn't work for me, so I included what I found below:

No shade. Just encouraging to see the mentality of this staff when it comes to the overall depth they are trying to lock down with classes.

I think what I seeing is that the depth looks like what Groce had a few years back. I like it.

Oh no Flash! I didn’t forget he was in that 92-93 group of freshmen. It’s just that his name was a non-confusing outlier from the rest. By the way, Walter’s first quarter was mine as well.

Jeff, I think so. I believe I was watching a game recently and this was mentioned about one of the players. It was one of those games that I wasn't all that absorbed in so I didn't pay a lot of attention and don't even remember who was playing. It was kind of on as background noisy as I was reading some dusty Civil War tome, or something like that! (ha-ha)

I hear ya, CatsUp! I completely missed your point the first time around. So you and Walter came in together, eh? Many people may not be aware that the former Cincinnati coach, who currently is coaching at his alma mater, West Viginia, not only was in that recruiting class, but came in as the Ohio Class AAA or AAAA Player of the Year. Bob Huggins has put on a few pounds since then. As for me, I transferred into Ohio the year before, Tommy Corde's senior season; George (Big Daddy) Green tore it up on the freshman team.

Seeing Walter and George Green made me think back .. Billy Brown, Denny Rusch, Dave Ball, Denny Thompson, Ulice Payne, who transferred to Al McGuire's Marquette team, Tommy Hester, Larry Slappy, Mike Corde ....

Yes, indeed. Tom Hester could leap up and take a dime off of the top of the backboard. Unfortunately, that was his claim to fame.

I posted on EJ4's board that he was MVP of a tourney. Now it's A.J.'s turn. Looks like Boals continues to add difference makers. There is going to be a lot of perimeter guys duking it out for minutes next year.
