So are Wisconsin recruits to Saul what Minnesota was to O'Shea?

Well, he is from there, so I'm sure he has a lot of familiarity with high school programs and coaching staffs.

Kid has crazy range and good vision. And a fro that Josh Childress would be proud of. Another player who looks like he's not done growing and has great length to disrupt passing lanes.

This is my family's hometown, I'll have to ask around for a scouting report.

Watched two videos of him and he either had a layup/dunk or a 25 footer. Didn't see him take a single midrange shot which is odd. As impressive as his range is I thought his court vision was the most impressive thing about the two videos.

He starts his shot from a very low position - almost the hip ala Kevin Martin. May be reason why he doesn't shoot much midrange/in traffic.

I love the athleticism but you know what I love the most? I love the passing. There isn't a lot of passing but when he does it's the right pass. His range is also off the charts. He would be a great addition to go with Culver, Darty and Butler in our pressing situations in a few years.

Was at the Rio Grande exhibition game. Real nice guy. Is considering a variety of solid mid major schools I think most already mentioned on here.

Tyrese had 20 points in a win during the battle of unbeatens between Oshkosh and Kimberly.

Hopefully he wants to stay in that green and white!

And 19 the other night in another win. Oshkosh is the top ranked team in Division 1 in Wisconsin.

OshKosh North beat Kimberly again, this time for the Fox Valley Association championship, which I'm assuming is their conference? A steal and dunk by Tyrese kept them in it. Nice photo of said dunk on pic 28/30 in the story.

I do too. Kid has a lot of upside and tremendous length. Bulk this kid up with a conditioning, nutrition and weight program and he could be a force on both ends of the floor.

Oshkosh North defeats Wausau West 69-47 on Friday night.

http://www.thenorthwestern.com/story/sports/high-school/b... /

Quote from Tyrese on North's 11-0 run to start the game.

“The second half of the season we had been coming out slow and having to come back, so it was good the first two games of the playoffs to be able to jump out to an early lead and just keep it,” Haliburton said. “We just have to keep our foot on their necks as people say. You can’t let off, especially when you are No. 1 in the state and people are coming for you at all times.”

Tyrese had nine points, six rebounds and six assists.

Next game is against Marshfield on Thursday.

Oshkosh North defeats Marshfield 67-54 to advance to the sectional finals, which is one game away from the state tournament in Wisconsin. Their opponents, Stevens Point, are the two-time defending state champion. They'll play on Saturday in Marshfield.

Tyrese had 24 points, 6 rebounds, a "handful of assists" and four three pointers in the win.

http://www.thenorthwestern.com/story/sports/high-school/b... /

Some good quotes from Tyrese here.

“Me and coach Weber have been staying in the gym late every day getting shots up from deep and it’s paying off,” Haliburton said. “I felt really good. It felt good in warmups so I was just stroking the ball.”

“The second half, we knew our season was on the line — it was time to put up or shut up,” Haliburton said. “We just looked at each other and said it was time to get busy.”

at the risk of enraging folks...I thought he had some funny moves off the court as well. I like athletes who are not afraid to have a bit of fun. https://twitter.com/TyresesPieces/status/787067464177901568

Looking at his vids. He has great range and "an eye for the hoop" but his release is going to have to be reworked lest it be blocked all day long. Strength will help that as well....grade school habits in the release. Nice handles and good vision looking for others. Still gangly and growing into that body. Can't tell from those vids about his speed or quickness as he kind of lopes along against that level of comp. I like what I see here.
