Looks like legit 6'5"...offer also received from Miami

may also want to look at his summer teammate, 2024 Jason Moore 6'8" PF of Marysville.....gets up and down the court, can score at all 3 levels, smart, works hard...I saw Coach Boals play in H.S. and he kind of reminds me of him

So he trains with the great Quinn Corna eh?

He can only aspire to be Quinn Corna 2.0.

Let's get him formally signed and welcomed to Athens!

Saw Burris and Evans this week with Ajay Sheldon / Ben Nicol / Shareef Mitchell at the ISU game - seemed like they were having fun watching the game.

Impression from the Ohio Valley Classic at Mason this afternoon. 6'5" looks accurate. Took game MVP honor in an overtime game. They had him try a little bit of everything on offense. Pull-ups, threes, driving, and post play. I'd say dribble driving was the weakest part of his game. Everything else looked pretty solid. Mostly an off ball part of the offense, so more of a 2 than a 1. Don't think I see an all-freshman player, but certainly conference honors down the line.

USA Today ranked the top 24 boys basketball players in Ohio. Burris is #17 while teammate Vanderwarker is #22.

Strangely, Ohio recruit Ayden Evans is not listed.

Burris scored 19 points and hit 2 free throws with 1.1 seconds left as Delaware beat Westerville North 59-58 last Friday and moved to 5-0. Delaware won without 6-7 Vanderwarker, who's missed the last 3 games.

Delaware Hayes, led by Burris and Vanderwarker, is the 2nd seed in the upcoming Central Ohio DI district. The Pacers are in the easiest of the 4 brackets, with no other team among the top 10 seeds. Delaware has a potential matchup with top seed Olentangy Orange in the regional semifinals. Both teams are 19-1 with Orange ranked 3rd in the state and Delaware 5th. Orange is led by Ohio recruit 6-5 junior Devin Brown.

It would be neat to make it to the Columbus area to see Jesse play this postseason. As a seasoned "Dispatch reader", It would like to read more about Hayes for the upcoming tournament. Please keep us common folk updated please. Also can't wait for him to step foot in Athens.

I'm not saying for certain that this is the case, but this article about Delaware Hayes basketball reads like it was absolutely written by ChatGPT.

Burris scored 17 points, leading Delaware Hayes to district semifinal win v. Westerville South. Hayes, 2 seed in central district, is tipping off against 22 seed Walnut Ridge with the winner meeting top seed Olentangy Orange in a regional semifinal. Orange won earlier today by 20 points.

Vanderwarker added 14 points in Hayes' district semifinal win.

Burris scored a game-high 28 points in a packed Ohio Dominican College gym as Delaware beat Walnut Ridge 90-76 and will now take on top seed Olentangy Orange in a regional semifinal. Vanderwarker had to be close to 20 points himself.

Delaware will probably end up with the second largest crowd of the 8 DI teams playing today in the four district finals at ODC. Newark, playing in the night cap, always brings the largest contingent of fans. If Newark beats Westerville North they will get a rematch with Hilliard Bradley in the other regional semi.

Correction: Delaware plays Hilliard Bradley in one regional semifinal and Olentangy Orange plays Newark/Westerville North winner in the other. Newark up big 31-16 at the half.
