Ryan Conway from Seton Hall has entered the transfer portal. Top 150 recruit out of HS. PG.

Hassan Diarra from Texas A&M another new PG in the portal. From Queens. Had Stony Brook offer out of HS

Haven’t seen anything on him visiting, but that’d be great if he was. I lean towards him because of his size, but I like Blondeau as well.

I saw Ajay Sheldon in person three times this year and left all three games thinking to myself that he was already a more athletic Tommy. Dude can shoot from range, isn't afraid of contact and has a swagger about him. I am not by any means saying that Ajay will start this year but he is someone that will make a difference as a key bench player in the rotation at point guard.

Dibba is in fact visiting today. Tough competition for his services with South Carolina the next visit but hey, maybe he doesn’t make it out of Athens without committing (wishful thinking).

A beautiful day in Athens today. And tomorrow (if he's staying overnight). That can't hurt OUr chances.

ODU’s Jaylin Hunter a new target. 9.7 ppg and 4 apg. Dropped 20 on North Texas and Western Kentucky.

He might be our guy. Started following OU bball IG, that happened before Gabe’s announced commitment.

Also following OU bball and Ohio U. Accounts on Twitter along with Boals + staff.

Interesting background. His dad played at Duquesne and is now a coach. Jaylin played at Omaha Creighton Prep in Nebraska (we've definitely had some football recruits from there) while his dad was an assistant at Nebraska and then moved to Connecticut (where he was player of the year as a Senior) when his dad took a job at UConn. His dad is now on the staff at IU. Love the idea of a coach's son at PG.

Of all the points guards mentioned in this thread, who would you choose if there was a draft and Ohio had top pick? I can't say that I know enough about the candidates to make a choice.

Looking only at Dibba, Hunter, and Blondeau since they appear to be the only ones we know are visiting. For this year only, I'd take Dibba from Coastal Carolina. Best A/TO ratio of the group, best shooter from the field, highest assist average and his size could create mismatch advantages

I think all three have two years remaining. Dibba looks like he redshirted after playing six games in 19/20. Dibba's production has been kind of static whereas the other two look like they may still be on an improving trend.

[/QUOTE]Conway to Towson. Haven't seen much info on where Diarra is looking.

Agreed. I love Dibba's size and watching his highlights he shows some great passing vision.

Hunter it is. Welcome aboard!

I could still see us picking up Dibba, depending on what kind of role he wants. From what I've heard, Dibba wasn't the ball dominant guard at CCU. That was Rudi Williams who is also in the portal. Less the case with Blondeau, I think. Horton from Albany would be a tremendous one-year rental.

A lot to like here. Team captain at ODU....excellent numbers 9 PPG....4.7 Assists....3.8 rebounds per contest. Don't think we'll get Dibba, but if he's more of a shooting guard...there is room.

Interesting note on Dibba. I think he’s going to be the toughest to land. Visiting South Carolina today, supposedly. Jaylin seems like a solid pickup and this staff has a great track record to date with development of PG’s.

Do we really need Dibba? If we have an extra scholly we are set now at the guard
Miles, Hunter, EJ4
Post: Witzniker, DW3, Ezuma, Clayton
Wing: Roderick, AJB

We are seriously lacking in a 6-6, 6-7 or 6-8 wing who is multi-dimensional. We have NO ONE who matches that description currently so we either go super small or super big but no in between.

UPDATE We have snagged Jaylin Hunter, PG from Old Dominion. 6'0 195 , 38% from field 33% from three this year, started all games for OD.
