Could it be that McCormick lives so close to the suck of Miami that he can't escape?

Or maybe he's just entertaining the thought of playing as the visitor before a rowdy crowd in Athens?

Weird that his visit to campus does not coincide with a home football game. I would think we'd want him here on a weekend when they campus is likely buzzing, possibly the Marshall weekend.

I can guarantee that if we win the road football game that weekend campus will be buzzing.

Semi-related, but Tariq Owens committed to Ohio right before watching the NBA finals on TV with the hoops team... Maybe McCormick commits right before watching Ohio football on TV with the hoops team?

He and Justin Johnson both picked up 3 star ratings from Scout...

On a side note, the Miami folk are posting a quote from Robert Frost about Miami having, (I'm paraphrasing here) The most beautiful campus he ever saw... Does anyone know if he ever came to Athens? Personally, I'm guessing not.

LDB, thanks but I was talking about Mr. Frost.... ;)
You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about Ohio recruiting..... Anything you can say about how we are doing right now?

The staff thinks they've got a very solid shot.  He's the focus for them right now

Robert Frost has, in fact, visited Ohio's campus. He spoke at the Auditorium. They have a plaque in commemoration.

LDB, I hope we get him... He seems to be able to get into the lane at will...

As for Robert Frost's visits to Athens, I searched again and found it. However, I did need to add a boolean operator to bring it to the top of the result. (-Miami) Which led me to this...

Oh what knowledge
does come to light
When Miami University
is taken from sight

Take that R.F.

Personally, that's my Post of the Year!  That is great!  Clearly and obviously, Bobcatattack is a cut above all other message boards!  And rightfully so.

Per multiple sources, he has verbally committed to Miami.

He is now the enemy.

We now not only get to look down on him, we might pity him as well, for he will never experience the excellence that is Ohio basketball, except when we beat their rears twice a season

It had to have been a "closest to home" decision. Not an "I want to compete in March" decision.

This is factually true.

This, too, is a fact.

For those of you inclined to eastern religiousity:  It is written.

Final 3 were Ohio, Miami of Ohio and Tennessee.

And so he clearly chose the lesser of the three.

Wow, I can't believe it.  Great pickup for Miami considering the rough run they've been on.  Too bad no one is paying attention to notice.

Ha^ he could come to Ohio and maybe be the 4th best player, or go to Miami and be the star close to home.

Those of you dissing Miami basketball have really short memories, or maybe you're just too young to know the history.  It hasn't been all that long ago that they had the upper hand on us.  That's why it's so sweet to have this recent run of success against them.

Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that a kid likes another school better than Ohio.  That it's a better fit for him.

I know absolutely nothing about the young man.  But I want my SG to be taller than 6'1".

He's listed at 6'2 now. Same height as Armon Bassett.
