What makes you say he's a big pickup?

He does have some C-USA and OVC offers.  Our inability to get any of the quality wing/guard players we have targeted with playing time available has made everyone a bit nervous.  Somebody is getting the three wing scholarships in this class, this kid would be a good start.  Have to believe a JUCO wing/guard comes into the picture at some point.

Southern Miss picks up a JUCO guard, likely good news for OHIO.

Gotcha. 180 pounds is a concern, though.

I don't think 180 lbs for a high school senior is a great concern.  Plenty of room to grow.  His outside shot and range would make him a good get.

True. Simply a concern, not a red flag.

Awesome!

I have seen him listed as a point guard as well... Do we know what he will be primarily playing here?

I'm very excited to hear that Kendall has decided to continue his basketball career at OUr Ohio!  He comes from a good HS, and he was offered by some very good basketball schools like Murray State, Southern Miss, etc.

Welcome, Kendall!!

I counted four pull-up jumpers in that 2 minute highlight video.  Nice.

Welcome Mr. Crute!  Great decision!

Reminds me a little bit of Mychal Green. He's got a great upper body shooting form; right hand and arm straight up all the way through the shot and no flailing elbow, and the left hand stays where it's supposed to throughout the whole motion. A little concerned about the fading and leg kick at the end, but that can work in your favor sometimes for separation. Green was great at that on the baseline turnaround. The wide open threes though should be straight up and down.

I like the Mychal Green reference.  His shooting motion reminded me of a smaller version of Ray Allen.
