Gotta believe he and possibly Wingfield both redshirt.

A 6'7 wing with handles and some range. What is a guy like this doing uncommitted so late in the game?

All I could find is that he had offers from Colgate, NJIT and Florida International. For whatever reason, he wasn't pursuing those and seemed to be ticketed to a prep school.

Some recruiting services list him at 6'4, so not sure where he actually is.

Started his high school career as a guard and then grew to almost 6'9''. I think he and Wingfield, with his leg surgery, are sure to be redshirted. Khari needs to eat and lift, but from the videos, there's some clear potential.

This article suggests a player of significant upside - a player who literally grew by leaps and bounds during high school.  Started as a 6 1 point guard as a freshman, 6 4 as a sophmore, and 6 7 as a junior.  The article lists him as 6 8 , but his coach says he is nearly 6 9.  This could be very interesting.  I like guys that play point and grow,  Not sorry about losing our Kansas transfer, who had issues all the way back to high school, when we bring in this guy.  Very good move on Christian's part to fill an open scholarship on short notice!

If it was him, he is most definitely every bit of 6'9" if not more. I'm like 6'6"-6'7" and he was at least a fewe inches above me

why are we offering a 4 year scholarship at the end of August to backfill a player who wasn't going to play this year anyways? Why not save this for the next class? Has he been on OUr radar? This thread was started today so I'm guessing not too much. We've got a 4 star recruit coming here next year, why are we picking up an undrafted free agent, so to speak?

nothing personal against the kid, I'm just confused as to why Coach felt the need to fill a roster spot so quickly for someone that wasn't playing this year.

The "Guard Who Just Grew Like Crazy In High School" story reminds me a lot of Gordon Hayward.

He had D1 offers, just didn't like them

I've been there.  Attended a conference there about 10 years ago.  Nice area.  Quick drive to the coast from Philly.

These reads like an O'Shea era post by Jeff McKinney describing a "promising eastern european recruit"......

We mid-majors have to take a flyer on guys like this ever now and then.

Welcome to Ohio Mr. Harley.  Wear some Ohio gear around NJ and you'll run into more Bobcats than you expect.

This could be a Tillman-esque find, no?

I thought Tillman was under the radar because he didn't play AAU ball.

interesting that Drudge had a story yesterday about their mayor having to move because his property taxes were too high for him to afford them. How random.

I'd give Khari 6'8''. I saw him at tonight's game with some other freshman players. He's about eye to eye with Campbell, but certainly a couple inches shorter than Mompremier. Mompremier's just a tower.

In Arkley's most recent article, Phillips speaks very highly of Harley.

Very intriguing.  I think a lot of people here are overlooking him.

Agree.  Nice to hear Coach Phillip's commentary on Khari.

Many Ohio fans were puzzled when the JC staff brought him in late last year, but if Saul is right, the JC staff's judgment is being vindicated.
