Avery commits to Kent, per Cory Albertson, prephoops.com...
Saw Arkley retweet this as well....How does this even happen? Oh well, my guess is this will end up as a blessing in disguise.
Some people just really like wind.

He wanted to be near to Handel's Ice Cream in Stow.

My guess is that Saul will find someone better. Good luck to Jalen...seems like he's handled himself well throughout the process.

You know a city is bad when "it's near Stow!" is a selling point.

Looking at their roster and recruiting, I would think Kent could offer him more assurances of greater playing time...

"How does this even happen?" Easy...Jalen Avery evaluated all the factors and decided Kent State was a better fit for him than Ohio. Are we so arrogant that we can't conceive of the idea that Ohio isn't the best place for everyone?

From a distance, I have to think that potential playing time loomed large.

If Can't is the best "fit", well, would that really be "arrogance"?
