even if Lamar Latrell walked on the team, team mediocre pocket protector approved.

Saul can convince this kid he can be a player of the year in the MAC someday.

Let's slow down for a minute. Is this the same kid that came out of Gahanna 2 years ago? I dunno. He's missed most of the last two years with injuries. Izzo throughout Bess's time at MSU praised him for his work ethic and toughness. What's changed to the point that Bess saw a limited future in East Lansing? My guess, and this is only a guess because I haven't seen him play in person, even in practice, is that injuries have taken a toll.

I am certain that Saul and co. will perform their due diligence before making any decisions about pursuing Javon. If he can get back to where he was, and Saul feels he's a good fit, great. But don't expect miracles. I am concerned that when he did play at msu, BESS COULDN'T MAKE FREE THROWS. Yes he improved year over year, but 57% ('15-'16) is still not good. Certainly not a recipe for winning basketball, or POY at any level.

He had one monster game early last season where he looked like a mismatch force playing the undersized four. He really faded hard after that. It's a shame - he was brought to MSU with great hype as a diamond-in-the-rough potential starter as a freshman. The injuries derailed everything. He really needed a freshman redshirt to try and get 100%.

I don't know what the dynamic was with Izzo when he left, but I know that Izzo publicly speculated that something was wrong with Javon, that he didn't have the lift any more or maybe that he didn't trust the foot yet. He probably has something left to offer at the MAC-level and he might even be a candidate for a major career resurrection.

It's between Saint Louis and Akron. How much would he help Akron? Will a year off help heal any lingering health issues?

He was a complete non-factor for them once league play began. 6-22 FG, 0-2 3pt, 10-20 ft. Still tbd, is he Walt Offutt or Johnnie Jackson?

I have no insider knowledge, but between those two I'd guess he'll finish up closer to Offutt than Johnnie. I think was a good get for Akron.

Well we beat out SLU for Culver so I guess they still needed a wing.

Back to being sucky. Although not as sucky as when we thought he was going to Akron. He sucked so bad then.
