I'm sure the people actually doing the recruiting, namely Coach Phillips and staff, will figure it out. As long as we get a player that the staff wants, we will be fine. I'm not sweating it.

X is a great program, but I don't fear them in recruiting. They will beat us out on more kids than we beat them on, but that isn't an absolute. We've beat out plenty of programs bigger than Xavier before, and I have no doubt that'll continue under Saul.

Ohio has a lot to offer, from both a basketball standpoint and a overall campus life/educational standpoint.

If we don't get Graves, I'm sure Saul and co find another great point for this class.

Not that it matters much anymore since Ohio is now full, but Graves now has an offer from Indiana State.

Graves was recently offered by Akron, who is already loaded at PG. Kinda hoping he ends up somewhere other than in the MAC.

Akron, Buffalo, Toledo, and Fordham are his final four.

Maybe someone needs to show Jayvon that it's not that bad a drive/ride to Athens from Akron vs the "final four". It's a lot worse drive/ride (distance, especially after a loss) to and back from Athens than any of those....

Do you want him to walk on? No more school lies left in Athens!

Looks like it doesn't matter - eliminated Ohio, Akron, Kent from consideration:

In theory, since the late signing period isn't until the spring, I supposed we could have one open at that time that isn't right now. So he could still have us under consideration for that reason I suppose.

Not sure I follow. We lose three and have three new coming in. Where's the extra?

Got to love autocorrect! No more "school lies" left in Athens, therefore, we can not get this recruit. What's our recruiting limit for school lies anyway? ;-)

I'm suggesting that it's always possible that someone on the current team could choose to leave for reasons other than graduation. Statistically, based on the trends with all the transfers, it's probably likely that someone leaves and a scholly opens up. That's where I was going. Please don't take it as a "I know someone is leaving" because I don't know squat. I just figure that the odds are someone transfers for whatever their reason.

Well, I guess we'll get to juxtapose our recruit Zach against Jayvon and see who has the better eye for talent in our respective systems... It does make me feel better that we got our guy first... Time will tell of course.

Glad to see one of my hometown kids make it to the big stage. Can't wait to see him in the Convo against the Cats.

Fascinating, by the way, that after he commits, he's a 3* according to Scout.

Mr. Basketball will probably go to the Wesson kid from Westerville. Graves is very good though and deserves consideration. I still like Butler and consider Butler a more pure point guard. He's also taller I believe at 6-4, 6-4 with Graves at 6-2.

Wondering what Wesson's numbers are compared to Newark's BJ Duling. Not to mention that Newark beat W. South head to head and has a better record and state ranking.
