Didn't Craig T. Nelson coach football at Minnesota St.? Ably assisted by Jerry Van Dyke? Aren't they the Screaming Eagles?

Some good links on his twitter feed. One Midwest recruiting service says he would be a good fit in the Missouri Valley . Indian Hills coach commented on his physical development since HS. Averaged 21 ppg at a big high school in Iowa. Indian Hills would be competitive in NCAA Div I IMO. Roster absolutely loaded. Over half these guys are Div I prospects.

Lately Murrell getting more minutes and scoring more for Indian Hills.

Best wishes to Connor and here's hoping he has a good career in Athens!

So if my math is correct...he's going to be eligible immediately with 3 years to play? Or is it 4 since he redshirted at Minnesota State?

Indian Hills (#6) smacked Moberly Area (#8) 92-60. Connor had 14 points, including four threes.

From that link: Murrell also connected on more than 50% of his shots, 48% of his three point attempts and 80% of his attempts from the free throw line.

Always good to have a guy who can shoot 48% from 3 on the team.

A tall guy with the ability to handle the ball on the perimeter and shoots well from 3.

I feel like there is a pattern here.

Was a HS PG before he grew half a foot ....late growth spurt in a guard with established skills is never a bad combination

I had mentioned to someone in PM that he must have grown a ton because he looked like he was about 6' in some of the highlight videos. Guard skills and mentality is always a plus IMO.

They just played Lepear Toles team recently. Indian River won, Toles had 26 though. This could be a future match-up for years to come. Go Cats

EDIT: just realized Toles is playing a year at JC before he heads to Akron. Didn't see that one.

So we had another scholarship in our pockets, or does someone need to exit?

Saul had kept one in pocket in case Tony Campbell's appeal for an extra year had been granted.

The Akron/Ohio rivalry is going to be very intense in the coming years.

I'm curious about that and how it shakes out. One reason I'd offer to disagree with that is the fact that essentially zero current students even know who he is. Flip side, all of the non-students do.
