Coach said something about it at the Cincy Caravan. Beyond that, I've not seen/heard details.

yeah, you know how it works with hearsay, but I would certainly entertain the idea. we could use some big depth.

I guess the obvious one to expect to maybe come in next week would be Zane Meeks.

Since the recent commits also had offers or contact from Boals at Stony Brook, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Abba Lawal, Anderson Mirambeaux and/or Tariq Balogun along with Meeks. But this is just conjecture on my part.

Anderson Mirambeaux would hit the spot. He is a big body skilled player that we need.

Do we have any shot at this guy? First I've heard of him. Intriguing "big"talent" who can light it up from three land too. I'm on board.

If we take Boals literally about looking up at all four bigs visiting next week, in the 6'10"-6'11" range, only Abba Lawal fits the profile.
I'm hoping one of the visitors is Nick Muszynski.

I assume Muszynski will sit a year? I’m fine with that as long as we sign two other bigs that can play immediately.

He would be a great get.

Is the transfer portal public info? I know we have reports of people being in the portal or not but is the actual portal something that anyone could access?
Just wondering if it's possible there are names in there that may not be known by those who are without access.

I admit Muszynski is a long shot. You can enter the portal on a limited basis, though, with a request schools not contact you. So it's possible he has entered it simply to explore a possible transfer to one or a small number of schools, and thus it hasn't been reported.
Admittedly, that is probably a long shot, and entirely speculative ok my part.

Regardless, recruiting bigs this year and next will be a priority for both the ones we lost this year and the ones that inevitably and hopefully transfer out next year.

[/QUOTE]As we have seen every year, transfers happen. Venturing a guess, Springs, McMurray, and Murrell. We can revisit this next year.

We have different opinions about the future success of the program. This is Coach Boals’ team now, not Saul’s.

Of the three, I think Murrell has the best chance of sticking. Rooting for Springs and McMurray and hope they turn out to be D-One caliber players. Obviously, we can't make a judgement right now because nobody has seen Springs play wearing a Bobcat uniform and McMurray got hurt.

We will keep Murrell just because of his age, but he is outclassed in the MAC, he was the 10th man at Indian Hills.

I hear ya. He never would have gotten the chance to play year one if Jimmy G didn't go down. However, he did have some moments. Keeping an open mind here and hoping for the best with all three of these guys.

Totally disagree with you about Murrell. If he can add about 15-20 lbs of muscle during the off season, it will make a huge difference. The kid has good skills and can flat out play. The year at Indian Hills was an aberration as he dealt with injuries. Before he went down with the big injury he was starting to put up decent numbers. Remember Indian Hills was arguably the most talented juco team in the country, almost certainly in the top 5. Could have beaten some Div 1 teams. I think Murrell will fit right into the Boals system.

Unless he is on track to be a grad transfer - zero chance he transfers after next year. If he can be a grad transfer it will (obviously) depend on the playing time this year.

This is wrong. Murrell played better as the year went and contributed. He's got size, decent handles and shoots well. I'd like to see him take the next step next year.
