This guy looks like a clone of recent signee Jason Carter. Maybe with a little bit better handles and outside game.

I'm not seeing the Carter comparison at all. I see this guy not as athletic, but potentially more skilled and a better shooter.

I see more of a Jake Kretzer type here.

It's weird... With the ball in his hands, this dude shows some good athleticism. Nice drives, spins moves and hops... Then you watch him run back on defense, and he looks completely un-athletic. Very unique jogging form.

I wonder if David McKinley's recent hire influenced this. :)

It is unique. It's almost like he locks his knees and ankles when he jogs. With the ball in his hands he looks very smooth though and I love his release. Plus he fits the mold of the good passing big that Saul (and I) covets. Would love to see this kid in Athens.

It almost looks like he's trying to conserve energy when he runs like that.

I feel a little better about his athleticism after watching this video. Not a high flyer by any means but, had a couple nice alley-oops sprinkled in there.

On 247 Sports they have a prediction section as to which school the recruit in question is likely to go to. For Bennett, one expert predicts with 100 percent surety that he will go to Ohio. The funny thing is, this "expert" is rated at 70% accuracy in past predictions with other recruits. In other words, 70% of the time, he's right every time.

Per his Twitter account, verbal to Ohio.

Welcome to the Bobcat Nation, Bennett! Excited that you've selected us over many other good offers.

The front court and wings are going to be devastating in a few years if everyone pans out like we all hope.

BVP (BVP for MVP in 2020. Marketing is so easy.)
Carter
Gareri
Taylor
Culver
Dozier
Block

If I understand correctly, we're all used up for 2017 right? Or do we get one more? If that's the case, anything else is just a cherry on top of this class.

Unless someone departs that's currently enrolled, I believe this completes the 2017 roster.

I have to say, I'm really impressed that we've seen three quality recruits commit this early.

I like this kid along with Gareri and Butler. Big guys who can shoot and get to the hoop. When I look at the recruiting grid the only thing I am concerned about is where our rebounding will come from in two years. Next year we are covered with Tone and Taylor together along with Wadley. I see only Doug as our "center" or true post. I am sure that Gareri, Dozier, Carter and BVP will be able to rebound but in highlights they seem like point-forwards and more wing-oriented. I would have liked to have seen a 6-10, 6-11 athletic big guy or a true post like Big Tone or DT.

I was thinking this too, but based on the recruits that Saul is bringing in it looks like they're going to be more focused on a team rebounding approach than one guy can dominate the boards. Still, the lack of a true post in the future may not really hurt Ohio. I don't especially think Saul is going in that direction anyway. He inherited Tony.

If your ultimate goal is to go deep into The Big Dance--hint, hint--you've got to be able to play big boy basketball. Functional height and length are critical, because all of those teams will have it. Consider the difference players such as Kenneth vanKempen, Reg Keely, Big Tone, etc., have made as they developed. It makes things so much easier for the other guys to operate at both ends of the floor. Still hoping they can find a way to bring in Justyn Hamilton if he wants to come.
