Russ indicated Saturday we had no chance at a home game. I hadn't followed the possibilities but went in to the BGSUcks Games thinking we had a shot (based on a couple of comments from this board).
The MAC tiebreakers are head-to-head and winning percentage against the other teams as they are ranked top to bottom. We split with BG, so that brings up the second tiebreaker. Both teams would have a .000 winning percentage against #1 Buffalo (BG plays them tonight and would have to lose in order for us to be able to tie them) and #2 Toledo, a 1.000 winning percentage vs #3 EMU, a .000 percentage vs #4 Ball St, and a .500 percentage vs #5 Kent. But BG won their game vs #6 WMU, while we lost, so BG has the edge. And WMU swept Fiami this year, so they can be no worse than #6.
There may have been some confusion because the MAC lists "division record" as a second tiebreaker, but that's apparently just to determine seeding if there's a tie for division champ.
