No question. But why not let him play in these games - can still protect his redshirt but allow him a bit of a taste. Though understand we are trying to get s look at those who will be on the active roster.
He did play in the first one so I'm not sure why he sat out this one. Would like to have seen how he looked even if he is going to be redshirted.

My 2 cents:
We certainly have more serviceable players this year. Lots of potential. Passing against the zone was excellent and they stayed spread out consistently. Multiple new guys looked comfortable and tuned in. There were flashes of good outside shooting. However, Gavin is going to work himself out of playing time if he doesn't recover his shooting touch and Kirk should never ever take a 3-pt shot. I had hoped the coaches would have changed his stroke but alas no. As good as he is, Preston looks to be a better outside shooter.
The recurring issue of defense, particularly against penetrating moves and baseline moves remains. Watch Duke defend sometime for great technique.
Will our big men ever learn to not dribble in the middle when surrounded by defenders? Multiple turnovers again last night due to this habit.
Who is Jarrell Reeves? Apparently he is a walk-on having transferred from Bethel where he didn't play much. Admitting that it was weak competition, he looked pretty good in limited minutes.

TK's shot does look weird, but he actually ended up with one of the best 3pt FG % on the team last year. For a shot like his, I'll take 40%.

Reeves' h.s. team went 33-1 and finished #2 in the state. He averaged 7 points per game and 4 boards. His school is best known for MLB's David Price.
