Tonight's game is on ESPN3 and unfortunately I no longer have Spectrum cable so I'm unable to get ESPN3. I'm paying the monthly fee for ESPN+ but that's of no help (I would think the fee would allow you to also get ESPN3 content). I still have Spectrum internet but that doesn't seem to be enough to access ESPN3.

Any suggestions from the tech-savvy millenials on BA would be greatly appreciated as I won't be able to make it tonight's game and would love to watch it.
Do you have a television provider? Even if it's streaming. I have Spectrum internet but Hulu Live for TV, so I can login to ESPN3/WatchESPN with Hulu. You may be SOL if you don't have a TV provider or if your provider is not carried.

I switched a few months ago from Spectrum to Playstation Vue and I don't believe Vue offers ESPN3 in its package. I'm beginning to think that you're right - I am SOL.

I loved this comment to one analyst: After several years of relatively disappointing seasons with nothing but the CBI and CIT for post-season play it looks like Campbell may be better this year. This may, the analyst said, be the the year the camels get over the hump! ;-)

You're correct. Vue does not have ESPN3 access yet from what I'm reading.

I've used Vue for 2 years now and had no problem with ESPN3. I have a cheap package so I don't get the ESPNNews and ESPNU games though.

Wait a minute. I have ESPN+ and pay for it...but wasn't Wilberforce/Ohio on ESPN3 last week?? I watched that with no problem.

So far in this game it's all Campbell.
Maybe we will turn things around in the 2nd half.

But I enjoy seeing OHIO on espn 3! Looks like criticism of Saul when decimated by injuries was unfair. I like Saul and have hope and pride in the OHIzo program! Win or lose , Sail is a coach trying to do it the right way! Go Bobcats!!

Man this ain't pretty. Bad fouls, careless with the ball, not tight enough on D, offense is meh. Hoping these are just working out kinks.

Still, have to be impressed by the young guys like Preston and BVP stepping up when the vets are struggling.

New season. New faces. Similar brand of basketball and same roster concerns. Bleh.

Campbell's a solid program. That was a well-earned win. If we hadn't gotten over the hump (hehe) in the second half, I was ready to call it an immature performance. There were like three straight possessions in the second half where we could have tied or taken the lead and we played too out of control. We immediately put Block in and calmed down.

I am pleased.

We have a ton of work to do but I am encouraged. Carter is a force and Doug will be another solid big. BVP has a nice shot from deep. He will help. Preston seems very calm and I'm impressed with how he moves off the ball. Block didn't start but he will have his moments this year. Gollon should help our outside shooting when he returns.

Its good to have Carter back. He stepped up in second half. BVP keep us in the game in first half. Taylor with a double double double. Poor free throws and some turnovers, but it was a win over a divison 1 program. Strength of team is Taylor and Carter inside. They got Ohio into the bonus early in second half and that is when they broke and camels back.

If you think we have the same roster concerns as last year I have to question what team you were watching.

What turned the game around was defending the three better in the 2nd half. Campbell hit 7 of 13 in the first half and their first try in the 2nd. They went 2 of 15 after that and didn't get another three until the last minute of the game.

It's better then previous years, but unfortunately everyone else in the conference is better too.

Certainly not the same team as last year. Carter,s return will make a huge difference. The ball movement was very good. The new ball handlers, Preston,, Cowart and James, look confident and capable and Vander Plas appears to have size and skills. Gollon should fit right in and the world won’t come to an end if Dartis doesn’t return. If he does, we might be quite good.

Most impressive however was the defensive effort. Campbell shot the lights out in the first half but there weren’t many gimmes. The law of averages caught up with them in the second half and the defensive pressure made a difference.

It’s too soon to get overly optimistic but it is also way too soon to label them with a “bleh.”

It's way too early to determine judgements on this team or any players.
By 1/1/19 we will be in a better position to make any prognostications on the team.

Cowart will be better and has been. I have zero concerns on whether he is a good player. His shot was off last night but he was our primary defender on Clemons and did a good job there IMO. He leads the team in assists through two games and he shot 8-12 in our other two games.

Maybe I'm just a glass half full sort of guy, but I thought there was a lot to be encouraged by in this game. We survived a really hot shooting start by Campbell and maintained contact with them in the first half even when things weren't going well. BVP stepped up and knocked down some huge shots to keep us in the game in Half 1. Preston also had a few big buckets. Carter and Taylor looked really good, minus a couple of questionable decisions by Doug in the post. I wish he'd be just a bit more assertive and not hesitate like he can do at times. There were two instances last night where he had the ball deep in the paint and just hesitated a split second which allowed the defense to recover on him. That cost us points. Carter looked great. TK had some rough stretches, especially at the line late, but played really good D on Clemons in the second half. We also beat a decent team with no offensive production from Cowart, which I think shows we had enough depth to make up for his lack of points.

Overall, I left the Convo feeling OK about that one.
