Great first half. I think tightening up the rotation is paying off. But we can't play with just a 6 man rotation all season long. Hopefully Gollon and Dartis are are getting close.

Keep in mind I'm not saying i can't hear any nat sound, but the balance is terrible in favor of the announcers.

That was a really good first half as far as offensive rhythm goes. Marshall zero interest in rebounding, but if they start hitting shots the game can chg quickly

Ohio's defense and rebounding has been outstanding.

Good God...Jason Carter. This is why having your best player matters.

Lead has shrunk to 13. Not surprised were a little cold and not surprised marshall is heating up but the turnovers are what's killing us!

Great game so far against a Marshall team that is much better than Iona. Block is doing it all again and VanderPlas and Carter are very skilled. Cowart is a great on ball defender, lets keep it up

WHO ARE THESE GUYS? It is hard to believe this is the same team that played in Jamaica. Defense (most of the time) and rebounding are very solid. The passing is (mostly) good and the aggressive shooting both attacking the rim and outside in 3 pt range was very impressive. Cowart really stepped up on offense to complement his defense and rebounding. Vander Plas continues to impress and Gavin reclaiming his stroke was huge. If one or both injured players return in form, we could be something special.

Marshall leaves starters in for the end of the game and we score 100 on a dunk. Hell yes. Screw those guys.

Dan D'Antoni looked so smug pressing with his starters down 20 against our walkons. It felt so satisfying when Reeves dunked on them and helped us hang 100. Screw Marshall.

Carter balled out today and Block had a nice bounce back after being cold to start the season.

Perhaps the rumored demise of Ohio basketball is greatly exaggerated?

Great game. Every time it looked like Marshall would go on a big run, Ohio answered. Glad to see Block hit some shots and Cowart had some good off the ball movement. Hopefully this is the trend moving forward.

I said to my kids, in a teachable moment, "If they're going to continue to play, we're going to continue to play."

Actually, while watching the teams in warmup lines before the game, I thought Ohio was going to be overmatched. Marshall players were either flying in for dunk-contest throwdowns or seemingly hitting everything from beyond the arc.

But in a team game, Ohio actually did the dominating. Carter could have had 35 if he didn't miss looks he would admit he typically makes.

Ohio v. Marshall is a game, like football, that should be played every year. Perhaps even twice a year in hoops. Best part today, arguably, was seeing former coaches and players on the floor at halftime.

Didn't look like the same Marshall team that we've seen the last couple of years. The only two games I've seen of theirs was today and the Maryland game, which are obviously their two worst games, but seriously lacking on ball movement and screens. Seems odd since most of the players are the same. Lots of one-on-one play. And on the defensive end they were really lazy off the ball.

Loved Cowart's defensive intensity today.

Great to see Gavin start to find rhythm on the offensive end. It’s been a long time coming and it’s a different team when he’s a factor offensively.

I hope it's the first of many helpings of crow for me and other skeptics. It's a nice, dominant win no matter how you slice it. BVP is for real and a healthy Carter is a sight to behold.

A healthy Carter and BVP mean so much for this team. Block shooting well is no accident. He doesnt have to worry about playing out of position at the 4 spot.

We attack the glass SO, SO, SO much more aggressively as well. It's really something to behold.

Most of the turnovers I saw today were the guys being a tad to unselfish. I'll take that any day.

My God that was awesome. Man I love beating Marshall...Nice to right the ship after 2 close losses in Huntington the last 2 seasons. I believe that makes us 5-2 in the last 7 bball matchups and 4-1 in the last 5 football matchups of the rivalry.

I'm proud to be the guy who has been gushing over Jason Carter since High School. He is an absolute treasure and if he can stay healthy, could end up one of the all-time greats at Ohio. He didn't even have great touch around the rim and he would probably tell you he just didn't finish on 3 or 4 buckets...But he is such a complete player. I cannot think of one thing he doesn't do well.

Block 6 for 7 from 3? Unreal. But the best one was Doug hitting it and shrugging the shoulders.

We position really well on both sides of the court, led by Carter. I feel like we do a good job of creating open looks on our end and preventing them on defense. This is the equalizer for our generally poor outside shooting ability.

Don't let the 84 fool you, they scored 14 in the final 2 minutes pressing hard against our walk-ons. As someone else already pointed out, us getting the last laugh to slam our way to 101 was great.

Only black spot from today was turnovers, especially from Kirk. He is like the QB who can make some great throws but you question whether it is worth it because he throws too many picks in the process. I love how fearless he can be, but I just wish it would come with a side of caution and control. Sometimes he just barrels in there and assumes he will figure something out when he gets there.

Got the swagger and confidence going heading into Xavier. I can't wait.

Does the Ozone still exist in some form? I mean I get that they don't in the sense we do not have any engaged students at the game...but can you still be a member of the Ozone with the shirt and all? I don't think I saw one Ozone shirt. I will NEVER get used to seeing people SITTING in those seats.

Do we know who the guy who stands front and center in the Ozone and out-efforts the entire student body single handily? Is he on this board? Kudos to you sir. The answer to the death of the Ozone is the enlarged 110. I say bring the whole crew to every game. And definitely let them perform post-game like they did today.

GoCats .. you are spot on with your thoughts - As Jason Carter said post game , we have

help rebounding unlike last year with Doug carrying that load , Doug was running the court so well and his “Access Denied “ blocked shots were spectacular. We came away from this game with some swag .. giving the coaching staff props, we head into rough water next week . Just happy to see the glimmer of what we can be .

Agree on everything Ruck posted.

This was a really good win folks. Room for optimism right now.

Wish we could get more crowds that big.
