Nobody discredits Saul as a human. I think it's generally agreed upon he's a fantastic man. He just can't coach basketball, or at least this program. I feel for him on a personal level with his wife's health... but he was also getting paid a few hundred thousand to coach. If he wanted to be with her and hand over the job, I would have applauded him for his dedication to her health. Nobody forced him to take that money. I also don't remember Groce being criticized while here. He didn't pick all christian academy guys... but he also didn't lose to Buffalo by 100. I'm not saying we raid juvenile detention centers for our next roster, but these are kids and sometimes they screw up... I'm sure you wouldn't want to have your life broadcast when you were a student. Sometimes guys, kids especially, need a second chance. I have no problem with adding guys like that as long as the coach has a plan to help better them on and off the court.

I can't stop laughing about the ridiculousness of the original post. Like there is one big conspiracy going on to deny the fans information about a 3 win MAC campaign and what the future looks like. Schaus and the Athletic Department owe you nothing. Like I said, by saying nothing - they are doing their jobs and doing them effectively. I for one respect the silence coming out of Richland.

Yeah I agree. Love and Ruck are spot on. FANS do not "deserve" to see the inner workings . Business is not always transparent nor should it be. FANS should not be "embarrassed" in the bigger picture. Does it really affect your daily life? This program is still graduating it's players and by all accounts they are good people. No Bassetts, Hesters or any of the like in the bunch. No one leaving for funerals and not returning. No falsified transcripts or people having to have mentors follow them to class and make sure they are attending. FANS should take pride in that part.

You still vote with your dollars and attendance. You can still pick up a pen and express displeasure . Just do not use embarrass, joke or deserve as it will rightly be cast aside. I trust they are navigating the waters with limited funds, contracts in place and professionals watching how they do in letting go of the current and finding the replacement.

Appropriate and correct; so how the hell is this Arkley's fault?
