From the Administration to the Radio Broadcast Crew to the Athens Messenger, this bizarre conspiracy of silence needs to stop. The fans, alumni, and students deserve to know now what the plan is for the Bobcats moving forward. This loss tonight leaves no doubt how bad this program has become, and it is time that answers be sought and that the administration begins to assure us that positive changes are coming much sooner rather than later.

What are they supposed to say - "We've all given up hope. We can't even fathom coming to work on Richland Avenue for the rest of the season. It's over. The sky is falling."

Jesus. Be realistic.

There's no conspiracy of silence. You don't deserve jacksh!t as a fan. People are just doing their jobs, the same as you would if you were in their shoes.

Realistic? What's unrealistic about asking for some accountability and someone to step in and provide some answers going forward with this now joke of a program?

It's not fair to the student athletes for an athletic department to officially air dirty laundry during the course of the season, unless there is some complete ethical meltdown going on in a program that needs immediate attention. Especially this late in the season. There will be plenty of time to address the concerns after the season.

Doubt you ever played ball. Buffalo hit 19 3's. They ARE ranked top 25.

At the end of the day we have Saul who is beating himself up over what's happening and posters like you and plenty of others beat him up. I'll say one thing .. there's a hell of a lot more to life than wins and losses. Tough year no doubt but I think of Saul for who he is as a person, his wife's battle with cancer, his daughter featured on national TV. Did he have recruits who had major off court issues? I can't think of any. Whereas some here worship Groce but the fact he had one player charged with assault on Court Street offsets some of his on court success in my opinion. Groce had some related issues at both Illinois and now Akron. Making the NCAA is great but I prefer a coach who gets there to do it the "right" way. You and others can continue to trash Saul if it makes you feel BIG.

Let's let Saul leave, if that's what's going to happen, with some dignity.

Thanks Jerry86....I knew you'd come through...Saul apologist #1 as always. Everyone on this board sympathizes with his wife's health situation. Don't think for one moment that Bobcat fans don't care about what they are going through.

Not sure what the daughter being featured on National TV has to do with Saul's inability to not have his players throw the ball out of bounds...but good for her. I'll have to YouTube that feature.

+1 -- Thanks for at least one person who has some class. But in some ways it's humorous that some of these guys think the world ends tomorrow since we lost to a top 25 team who shot lights out.

Schools have done that historically, usually see it out of P5 schools when they're gonna make the inevitable move to spur the team on. I don't think Schaus would do that to Saul.

The reason that occasionally happens at P5 schools, like you say, is due to intense pressure coming from huge donors. We don't have that at Ohio.

Rumor is they will be unveiling the new naming rights for the Convo. Just waiting to get past the 50th year mark.

+1 very true. Now if someone was gonna deliver a 500k donation to dismiss Saul, then you got a better eye for our donors than the OBC does. We don't have a buyout pool on standby.

Also true if we wait until the end of season.....

Was saying for the theory of exercise, that we don't carry any sort of buyout pool.....

I've not seen one person trash Saul's character. If nothing, it's been more of a "he's a great guy ... but he's just not getting results"

Why you continue to think anyone who thinks Saul should not be Ohio's coach is essentially calling him a dirtbag & has no moral compass is a joke.

And then your standard fall back to criticize John Groce's character and how he has no ethics. Let me guess ... you just crossed your arms in protest of that Sweet 16 run in 2012 and the NCAA win in 2010?

How does that make you above the rest to take shots at a former Ohio coach, who by almost all accounts was a tremendous citizen of Athens and ambassador of Ohio University during his time at OU?

Hi pot. Nice to meet you.

- Kettle

C'mon. Keep this in perspective. Saul's a great guy with a great family ... that just hasn't panned out to be a great MAC basketball coach. That's it. Quit making it into a character assassination. It's not.

Bshot44 with the mic drop. Tough night for Jerry. Maybe he can spend the rest of it throwing away all those DVDs of Ohio's Sweet 16 run in 2012 since it left such a sour taste in his mouth.

Everybody knows what the situation is without throwing Saul under the bus publicly. We've had our pitchforks and torches out for more than a month now. No sense stringing him up from the nearest oak tree. Let's face it, with one or two exceptions the talent on the floor -- meaning more than just skills; it's also understanding what is needed to be done -- is subpar. The players just haven't bought into the program. Telling the world that Saul won't be back won't change that.
