Women's threads are hard to find. In fact, there are only 2 on the first page of 25 so you have to scroll down to hunt for them. Separate forum - they're right there ready for the reading.

While I understand the arguments on the other side, this, in my opinion, is the strongest argument for a separate forum for Ohio Women's Basketball.

While I see your point, what I see happening, though, is the ladies will make it to the NCAA Tournament while the men get knocked out of the MAC Tournament in the first round and people will pay more attention to the men's malady. This might enhance the chance for some good women's team discussion without the threads getting knocked down toward the bottom of the column.
Or you end up with the same five or so posters talking about women's hoops. I think keeping it here will get more of the casual fans paying attention and possibly becoming diehards.

Ohio W Basketball get ignored just like the Ohio woman's softball team does, change is good and believe me this board could use some change, like you said OUVan same 5 or so, try something new for a change and try to grow something good. you would be surprised by the interest and new posters it would attract.

I for one and not sure why, but I don't feel appropriate posting about the woman here. to me it feels out of place. Just like the Ohio Basketball recruiting column hardly ever see any thing about woman recruits.


Ohio W Basketball/Recruiting
I can only speak for myself but I see fewer posts about Volleyball since it got its own forum. I just never think about going to that forum. Heck, I don't even go to the football board much. So if women's basketball gets its own forum I will see fewer posts than if it is kept in the Ohio Basketball forum. People that want to talk about it will go there but you will lose all the drive-by traffic. I'm fine with it having it's own board and if anyone feels strongly about it go for it. I just have a feeling it won't be the blessing you think it will be.
It looks like the volleyball forum has been there since July of 2010. The greatest number of posts on a single topic was a whopping 36 when Dean got hired. Most have 0 responses. Those who want to look will go there. Drop the Ozone forum and put in women's basketball.
Exactly, and the Women's team this year has more views and post than most all if not all post on the VB board. Why? Because the post are in one of the most active and viewed topics on here. The topic is OHIO Basketball, not OHIO Men's basketball. We've got enough sample on this board to see that threads outside of the Football and Basketball threads are 2nd class citizens.

Billy.. where's the post at the top of the Forum that tells when and where the Ohio Woman's Basketball team plays ? after all its suppose to be Ohio Basketball right ? There is one put up for every game for the Men's. Its time the Ohio Woman get a little respect and that is not really asking for much, but I can understand that some people here can't handle change.

Classic GMan and his Man Crush, countless others share my opinion but he wants to chase me, it’s like I’ve got doe scent on me and he thinks it’s rutting season. I mean OUvan has same thoughts, yet I get all the love from the big teddy bear.

GMan, if you were so concerned about the Woman’s team where is your breakdown, highlights or post about the women? I’d think someone who’s so concerned about their exposure would be providing some. So tell us when is the next game? Who do they play? Baseball has a thread and we don’t get that? Softball has more success than baseball and I don’t see the softball forum or the information for their next game! For that matter Volleyball has their own thread and I’m not seeing anything about their next game each week. So are you really concerned or are you just chasing your inner man crush around the internet, because you surely are not posting about the most successful OHIO Basketball team.
