This would be a remarkable upset that would be remembered by Bobcats for years to come; however, it is very hard to imagine the Bobcats being able to hang with this extremely talented team, unless Buffalo really has an off game. Sadly, I think that Buffalo will come into town and remind us all of just how far our program has sunk. I will be cheering the 'Cats nonetheless, but we are playing a pretty remarkable program right now that could potentially make a lot of noise in the NCAA tournament.

After the drubbing we took up there, I'd be content if we keep it within 20 pts. The team has played much better over the past five games and could easily have been 4-1 in that stretch. It would be a big lift to beat the Bulls, but Buffalo has too many horses and will be motivated because they can lock up the MAC regular season title with a win.

I'll estimate that Buffalo will be favored by 12-15 points.

I'd rather beat them in Cleveland.

True. But we need a win at home against a team of this caliber and we need it BAD. Hopefully there is a good turnout for the game and they can make some memories.

Buffalo 80
Ohio 62

I think people are drinking too much of the green kool-aid after a decent 3-game stretch. I hope I'm wrong, and the Cats can come out of there with a win or at least a game where they play well for 40 minutes. It was nice to see the Akron beat down, but I'm still weary of this team.

Sagrin says Buffalo would be 15 points better on a neutral court.

Looking at only recent results, the margin says 10.

Not a bad first half considering the unreal 3FG for UB right now.

Down 6 with almost no outside shots going. Nice half of basketball.

Second Half so far:
BVP continues to be terrible this game, too many offensive rebounds given, and the ref's just brutal in a 4 minute stretch.

BVP very one dimensional offensively.

Great game, we came up a little short. We should go into the MAC tournament with some confidence.

Tremendous effort. This is an entirely different team than from a month ago. But the fans don't remember moral victories, and this is still a loss.

Buffalo is incredibly tough. They took our best counterpunch and didn't flinch. Even if we don't get to the point where we are as talented as UB currently is, we need guys some guys to get the killer confidence Harris and Massinburg have.

Really happy with the effort today. I like that we appear to be playing our best basketball in March. Looks like we will be on the road to most likely play @EMU or @Akron in the Tournament the way this is shaking out. If we win on the road, Toledo or BG in Cleveland. First up, senior night vs. Miami. Doug Taylor played exceptionally tonight. Looking forward to his senior night. Muck Fiami!

He seems to hit that freshman wall after about 20 games, excluding his 24 point outburst. He needs to get better over the next three years with his conditioning and defense and consistency on offense.

Needs to figure out when the 3 isn’t falling takethe ball to the rim. He could score a bunch from the ft line if he weren’t so tentative mixing it up underneath. Had to be proud of the effort tonite. Also just have to tip the cap to the Bulls, especially Harris from the last 5 minutes. He just took over the game.

Love the effort, don't love fouling Massinburg five times in last 90 seconds. Made no sense.

That drove me nuts. You can double and force him to get rid of it.

I was okay with all fouling under a minute. Down a couple scores, you want to extend the game as long as possible and take your chances on missed free throws.

My 2 cents about the game:

First, great game on the offensive end by Doug Taylor. TK always makes me sick while watching him handle the ball, but he was Ok tonight. Some defensive late rotations, but he was ok. If we had shooters to spread the floor, he would be so much more effective off the dribble. Connor Murrell i believe played his best game of the year. Not sure I would have drawn up a play for him in the last couple minutes, but like what he gave the Bobcats tonight. BVP was a no show tonight and Cowart struggled a ton tonight. -35 from the 3 pt line just shows how terrible of a shooting team we are. When Preston, TK, and Doug Taylor are on the floor, not much of a threat from 3. Not sure Jordan Dartis would have really solved that problem with this crew, he is only one man. Buffalo rolls out 5 who are a threat from 3 on the floor at a time. Here is my problem with this group and staff, I have no idea what to expect on Friday. We are playing our rival at home/Senior Night and not sure which team shows. For Saul, it better be the team of the last two weeks, but who really knows. I appreciate this staff/team put together an awesome effort tonight and played a team close that is so far from them talent wise. Think Saul and his staff have had a good last two weeks. Small victories in life!

The problem wasn’t the strategy of fouling, but who they were fouling. You don’t foul their best free throw shooter over and over and over and over and over again.
