Bobcat Love's Sense of Shame

When Armon Bassett was playing his best, he was the most talented Bobcat I've ever seen.

And I rememeber Chris Kaman coming into the Convo in the first round of the MAC tournament and beating Brandon Hunter up. That's when I knew Hunter wasn't going to have an NBA career.

Well, other than Gary Trent, I'd go with Curtis Simmons or Flomo.

Opponent was Earl Boykins just killing us one game. And, of course, love me some Charlie Coles. RIP

Flomo is definitely mine. Nasty dunks. Nasty blocks. If he didn't frequent the Cheese so much he would've been 10x better.

I also agree with the Akron rivalry over the years that included Treadwell, Dambrot, McNees, Abreu and the other usual suspects.

It's kind of a tie in my book for my favorite Bobcat player. So, I'll name two. They both played forwards on the same team, back in the mist of time in a previous age: Don Hilt and Mike Haley. Elite 8 team. In terms of opponent, that's harder, 'cause I don't really like any opponent of my beloved Bobcats, but I'll take a stab at it. This time, I'm going to name three: Rick Mount, Purdue; Nate Thurmond, Bowling Green; and Ron Harper, Oxford Tech.
Agree the late Don Hilt. He had a style that qualified as unique - meaning, yes, one of a kind.

I'll go old school with Billy Brown and Tom Corde. Opponent has to be Charlie.

Tom Corde . . . hadn't thought about him for ages . . . he was a great one. Didn't he play a little pro ball at one point? He attended the 50th reunion. Now lives in Maysville, Ky. Know what he does there?
