I wish we had more news. I am sure I am going to get roasted for this question but as a Bobcat fan to the millionth degree I have to ask, does anyone else feel like Arkley isn't giving us as much news and notes on this year's Bobcat team as he did in the past? I feel like he's half-a$&ing it so far this year and I only say this because I always felt like he had an intimate and often times unprofessional relationship with Saul. I wonder if he just doesn't like Boals or if Boals is less approachable than Saul? Either way, I feel like Arkley isn't doing the basketball team, which by the way is OVERACHIEVING, justice. I am putting this into this thread because by now, if it was under Saul and it was Gavin Block, Arkley would have written 3 stories, tweeted 10 times and talked about how Block's broken finger was the key to the season.

On Arkley- I am not a fan at all- he was embarrassing in his love for Saul and his approach during the last few seasons. BUT I will defend him on this issue of injuries by saying the Messenger has him covering every sport every where. There is no way he can get the access he needs when he's really a one man band. Also his love for Joe Burrow takes up any other free time he has...
In any case I do think this is an issue of having no professional media in town. it is sad.
There's a lot of questions around this team.. a few major ones?
1- Roderick injury
2- What is the timeline on Marvin Price? he was hurt- badly- and he's now rounding into shape- how far off is he?
3- What is up with Miles Brown? Injury? Suspension? Academics? I mean rumors everywhere and no word at all.
4- Murrell- same issue? hurt? Suspended? Academics? How much eligibility will he have left with his past?
On the last 2 if it is academics- then why do they travel? If its injury give at least a ballpark time line?
Arkley has so little insight to this team that on the day Roderick was cleared to play he tweeted that he didn't expect him to play much. And we all know what happened. Even Arkley recognized that with a follow up tweet.
I do subscribe to the Mess. Not sure why, but I do.
In the end I just wish we had a tiny bit more info and insight on this team- and on Ohio Basketball PR standpoint THEY SHOULD BE PUSHING the info out- they could control the narrative. Instead they don't (more and more pro teams have their own reporters etc.) and so we get rumors and innuendo and it also causes disinterest in the team.
