You look at Miami's roster and wonder what their plan is. They have like five point guards and no true threatening bigs.

Put these jokers in the ground.

While I agree I'd like to see these jokers get put in the ground ...

Sibande had two decent games vs. Ohio last year (22 in Athens ... 13 on a awful shooting day in Oxford in a 20-pt blowout win)

And Bam Bowman was a load in Oxford last year ... 23/12. He was a big reason why Ohio won the rematch in Athens because he was 1-15 from the floor and scored only 3 points.

If he gets going inside, it only helps those guards get going for Miami.

Despite their record ... I think this is a dangerous team (much like every team Ohio will face the rest of the year)

But at home ... this is one you HAVE to get to get things going back in the right direction.

I've followed along their fan board here and there. They're not as hot on Sibande as they once were. He can score, but sometimes to the detriment of the rest of the team. He's dreaming if he thinks he has NBA potential.

They're very high on Dae Dae Grant. At this point, he is probably the front runner for Freshman of the Year.

I read this in Jimmy Dugan's voice.

Brazilians are on campus and plan to be at the game, this group usually provides an entertaining boost of energy. Go Cats.

Who remembers that fun Lamar game in the Sweet 16 year when they joined the O Zone? Are they part of the Sogeti program in Athens or something else?

Sibande may have been nicked up in their game last night. He played only six minutes and did not score.

With a week off and a Saturday game against the rival, if you're gonna make a momentum push, this needs to be a no-doubter.

I'm hopeful that ends up being actual butts in seats. Getting a W in front of that crowd would be nice too.

Forgot to add to this equation: vociferous leader of the raucous Crazy Cats, circa 1983, will be making his biennial return to the Convo.

Hopefully the weather won't have a negative effect on this equation.

A victory today would help as I'm thinking Ohio needs to get to at least 8 wins in conference play to avoid a road trip the first round. The Bobcats are already behind Toledo as they lost the head to head game with them. Defeating Miami today and Western next week, is crucial.

Props to you for remembering the year and the opponent. Anytime I hear "Brazilians" I think of that game... I remember their energy more than the actual game though!

For a midweek non-con game against an opponent few had heard of, that turned out to be a great game. Lamar, coached by Pat Knight, had some hyper athletes and their little guy threw down that crazy lob over Rico. Went to OT, Stevie had a big three pointer and overall game.

I have a near photographic memory of every game I've seen

Tremendous find! Hopefully we'll hear Long Train in its entirety at the 4:00 timeout of the second half.
