Would be great to get a home win vs BG since Ohio travels to Buffalo and Eastern Michigan next week. Buffalo is struggling, but they will be tough at home.

Turner's only been back from injury for three games now and he scored only four against Kent State. He had 16 against Miami, though it was on 5-of-14 shooting. He's made 31 of 32 free throws this year.

I wasn't aware he was recovering from an injury. He's great to watch, but a weakened Turner definitely helps the Ohio cause. They were very fortunate to sneak by *iami last night.

My least favorite team in the MAC to play. For whatever reason they have had our number the last few years.....

Agree, and it hurts even worse because a BG win always provokes a snarky email from my friend Randy in Cowtown, who is a BG alumnus.

Like Ohio, they seem to live and die by the three. They shot it terribly against Kent State (3-23!!) and 7-23 (still not great) against Fiami.

BG is vastly overrated. They are better than they've been in years prior to last season. But one thing is for sure, they are not the best team in the MAC despite being picked to win it. They lost to one of the worst teams in the country in Norfolk State a few weeks ago. Yes it was without Turner, but it was on a neutral floor and any D-I team with a pulse wins that game. They also should be 0-2 in the MAC. They barely got past Miami in a game they were down big, and Kent State destroyed them badly in a game BG never challenged and both games were on their home floor. BG is a middle of the MAC team at best and one Ohio should beat, and likely will, and it won't be an upset of any sort. In fact, Vegas is probably going to have Ohio as the favorite as well.

While I think we have a chance to win, there is no way we will be the favorite. They have one of the best players in the MAC and a lot of size.

Pretty sure we were favored to beat Campbell and WMU, also, and look at what that got us.

BG seems to have our number these past few years. I'll take a win, no matter how ugly it looks or by what margin.

I think that we get the home W. With Students trickling in and it being my birthday, it is a recipe for beating the puke orange chickens.

The Bobcats will need to control the dribbling, attacking down the lane that BG has hurt us with the past couple seasons. Both Western and Eastern had success with this type of guard offense. Requires lots of concentration and maximum efforts to get the dribble drive under control.
Hopefully our bigs can keep Turner off the glass.
Go Bobcats!

Game is now a Pick Em, which sounds about right. I was surprised by OHIO -1.5 but the CONVO is a magical place.

But I think the Falcons get this one today.

Great half of basketball, I wish coach would have called a timeout after McDay’s layup to set the defense and avoid fouling. Sometimes with a very tough team, you have to do that, but I understand not calling it because they were rolling. I really like this team and the coach.

I know he was sick today, but have noticed a lack of spark from Preston the last 5-7 games. Would love to see the Preston again that showed up against St. Bonaventure and Iona.

Only listened to the 2nd half, what happened to the defense?

You can learn a lot from listening to the radio. OHIO on offense, pass, pass, dribble dribble and off balanced shot.

BG, bullet pass and off the glass, down the lane and off the glass, offensive rebound and a foul.

Where is the defense?

Also difficult to win games consistently when you rely on the 3-ball every game. Where I’m concerned is in the first few games this team was creative on O and D. Lots of movement. Guys getting shots. D was switching. Now nothing. Yes scouting is huge. Opponents adjust but Ohio looks rough. Preston hurt them today. Tons of bad decisions. Shots. Taking it to the hole 3 on 5. Stuff like that. He’s sick. He’s tired. You know what...play other people if that’s the case. Brown is supposedly good. May as well find out vs a PG who is sick and doesn't seem to be the same guy we saw in first five games of year. All I'm saying is give him some more rest, especially if he was sick today.

I said before the season that a .500 record would be a success in year one for Boals. It's going to be tough to achieve.
