As I was analyzing this game before tip-off, thinking about our strengths and weaknesses versus theirs, I truly felt that if we could just score more points than Kent we would win this game.

Fantastic insight. Reminded me of the late, great Tigers first baseman Norm Cash. When asked what it would take for the Tigers to catch the Yankees in the pennant race, he responded: "If we start winning a few and they start losing a few we'll catch up." Sheer genius.

With such keen insight you are clearly qualified to be a high-paid analyst on ESPN.

I happened to be watching the interplay on the lane after the first FT and before the foul. It was premeditated, discussed, pantomimed and set up - all within 5 feet of the official. No brainer. Undisciplined doesn’t begin to describe the sheer idiocy of this act. In fact, if the MAC has any nads they’ll sit the kid down for a game or two.

Speaking of idiocy, there's Whittington's last foul. He grabbed Jordy around the shoulders with no pretense of going for the ball. An easy intentional foul call for the ref. That was a dumb play, even for Whittington.

Pippin and Whittington so proudly exemplified the never ending tradition of what makes KentRead, Kent Right, Kent State so, so predictable. It’s just a Kent thing no matter the year and no matter the players. As someone earlier posted if the MAC had any balls or brains Pippen would be sitting for a few games as the elbow was truly premeditated.

C'mon, Swabster....give him a break. He did spend formative years in Parma.

I don't know, in the last 5 years I sure would have liked MAC POY, Hall to have been a Bobcat and I didn't see nonsense out of him in the games the Bobcats faced him.

Listened to most of the 2nd half on the Ohio Radio. IMO, the broadcast duo needs to do a better job of telling the listeners who is on the floor. Ogbanda fouls out and I don't believe they said who replaced him and that is not the only time or game this has occurred. Just a quick who is on the floor instead of talking about the drive or the weather or other folksy stuff which can come after the important stuff.

We are 1.5 point favorites with an over/under of 141. First over 70 wins!
I'm in Nassau at a casino resort, wife won work trip. Definitely placing my stones on Bobcats tonight since we can watch first half in sportsbook before her event. Got a dozen folks joining us for karma.

I'm thrilled to just see the team on tv, sorry that change inconvenienced others.
And Baha Mar doesn't carry CBS,Sports so no bobcats for me last night. %##@!

I fully understand that moving a game to an entirely new day and up a half hour is problematic for work, school, kids, etc.. I don't like it either. At the same time, we heard the same kind of sentiment when the Purdue game time was announced and that it was in the middle of the shopping season, along with the students being gone. Couple all this together and it just reminds us that in many instances we're a "not ready for primetime" fanbase.
If you're the fan of a "primetime team," you come to expect that even 1-2 weeks out you may have no clue what time your game is going to be until the networks announce it. Being 2-2.5 hours from Morgantown, I know many/many/many season ticket holders who make it to games all season long. In fact, when you see bad weather, or WVU gets moved to a 9pm weeknight game--I turn on the broadcast and the place still seems packed. Even when school is out and the opponent is good, there's a student section, cheerleaders, etc... whereas we can't pull it off and having a Purdue type team doesn't happen all the time like it does in Morgantown where brand name opponents are more customary. And last i checked, Athens and Morgantown aren't exactly metropolitan megacenters. Not sure we could handle the pricing, scheduling demands and inconveniences if we did become the next Gonzaga.
One comment I'll make that's different from the other examples you're citing: They're having the TIME of the game moved. The MAC and it's TV Contract are moving THE DAY OF THE GAME. Are you aware of any other conference that has dates of the game moved to accommodate TV?

Since we're quite a ways from becoming the next Gonzaga, there's no need to worry about it.
