A first-round home game is really important for this team. We're 4-3 in MAC games at home this season but just 1-6 on the road.

It's really frustrating that we couldn't close the deal at BGSU. That would have been a major boost toward hosting a first round game.

I hate to be Johnny Raincloud, but I'm having a hard time believing we hold onto the 8 seed. I know we still have a few home games left, but the Miami game is the only game I am really confident we win...and that's on the road so who knows. UB and Kent at home, both good teams, and @Akron. I wouldn't be shocked if we only win 1 more, maybe we sneak in and get 2. Would that be enough?

Sure wish I knew Ted's secret Voodoo magic to get Twitter to embed on this message board properly (hint - trying to just paste the embedded code from Twitter apparently doesn't work since html tags don't work on here either).

In the meantime all I can do is point to the twitter link here: https://twitter.com/macsports

Even though we won, so did Toledo while EMU lost. So now we're tied with only Toledo at 6-9 and because they beat us earlier this season that would make us the #9 seed. Toledo is #8 and EMU #10.

Cheer for Miami on Thursday. They host CMU in the coronavirus makeup game and a Chips loss would throw them into the #9 spot.

You're right. Toledo would be 2-1 in a three-way tie with Ohio and CMU, Ohio would be 1-1 and CMU 1-2. That would put Toledo #7 and because we beat CMU we'd be #8.

Beat Kent and Miami and the Bobcats should get the 8 seed. I doubt Central with three road games can get to nine wins.

More importantly, who is becoming the dreaded "team nobody wants to face," us or EMU? EMU had NIU all but beaten last night and managed to blow a 4 point lead in the final 15 seconds but they have gotten off the mat in the past few weeks.

If EMU ever learned to hit FTs they would be dangerous. In MAC play they've shot more FTs than any other by far -- 323; Toledo is second with 281. But they've hit only 62% of them, the worst percentage in the league. Last night they had 28 FTs to NIU's seven and hit 20 of them, which at least kept them in the game. But four of their misses were the front ends of one-and-ones, including one with just 34 seconds left when they had a four-point lead.

I actually spit my drink out when that was mentioned by Marty's sidekick on the broadcast. She said that about Ohio in the 2nd half.

Bowling Green doesn't want this smoke. You know how hard it is to beat a team three times?

Miami up 12 on CMU at the break. This could be a huge lift.

CMU looks so bad. For how much they've walloped us in recent years, I take great pleasure in Keno Davis' many facepalms.

Thank you Fiami. Toledo is #7, we're #8, CMU is #9.

As of now CMU looks like the team everyone wants to play in the tournament.

So anywhere from 6-12 is possible.

Yes due to tie-breakers. If UB and Ball lose out and we win out we'd all be 9-9. We'd be 1-2 against them, Buffalo would be 2-2 and Ball would be 2-1 so we can get #6 at best in that unlikely scenario.

Still think 8/9 is our destination. Flip a coin as to whether we're home or traveling.

There could actually be a six-way tie at 9-9 if Ohio, Toledo and CMU all win out, if Kent beats either BG or Akron, and if Buffalo and BSU both lose out.

Would be stunned if Central wins out. They are struggling big time. If Ohio can beat Kent and Miami the 8 or possibly 7 seed is probable.
