I'm with DFC on Murrell, I think he will contribute. I liked his stroke when he took a good shot, we all just needed to see one go in, Connor more than anyone. I also am going to go out on a limb and say that Miles shoots better than 10.5% from distance next year. Both those guys had some jitters, Miles started to look more confident towards the end and I'm thankful it came in time for his rebound and putback to beat Fiami.

While I didn't see many minutes down the road for McMurray and Springs (before he entered portal), I can still see Miles B. and Foster being part of the rotation. If not next year then by their jr. or sr. seasons.

However, Miles is going to have to develop a consistent shot. There was a reason he (and Murrell) were wide open from distance last year. It was the same reason why I cringed as they continued to clank shots off the rim (when it wasn't an airball).

I've been lurking on this board for probably 10-15 years, who knows? Thought I would finally jump in and contribute.

Love the Cats and what Boals has brought to the table. This class coming in along with the JUCO and Transfers will fit as nice building blocks. Much like this past year, we will see improvements in most areas as the season progresses along.

We know what we have with Preston and BVP as a result of the jumps they made in their respective games this past year. Look for them both to only improve further. Our Sophomore mix of McDay, BRod and Brown will make similar strides this season and as long as they can keep team first, their contributions will be added weapons.

We will see how things shake with those coming in, but I think the sleeper in this class is going to White. Watching his highlights I see a 3-wing that can attack the rim, has length to create separation and a jumper that will fill a hole for us. He gets his body square to the rim on turnarounds, has the hops to elevate on a defender and his stroke is pretty pure. Not sure he's Dartis pure yet, but I have a feeling he will be scorer for the future.

I'm ready to get next season rolling and looking forward to watching the development of team chemistry with these guys. The parts seems to be there with Miguel sliding in to replace Ves and Towns will provide length and athleticism.

What happens with Granger and Foster will be intriguing. I think I'm on board with red-shirting one of these guys. With Wilson in the big man slot for 21/22 season, it would be smart for Granger and Foster to develop their respective games to play the 4. Speaking of Wilson, man I like the sounds of this guy getting a season of coaching with the Boals staff and then playing next year - does anyone know if he has 2 years with us as a Grad?

Let's hope that the winning comes early and often and students jump on board to get back to rocking the convo.

This made me chuckle. I do like Brown's upside moving forward. As for Murrell, there aren't minutes to be had for him moving forward.

Please explain how Gavin Block was a D2 guy. I guess all those other D1 programs like NIU, Bradley, Bucknell, SDSU and a couple Ivy Leagues thought the same as well? He wasn't a MAC MVP candidate but he played a pivotal role on a team with Jordy, Jaaron and Tony.

My issue with Gavin (to no fault of his own) is that he was always asked to play out of position because of the catastrophic injuries the team faced...and then losing Jaaron. Had he been able to play his natural glue guy position and not asked to carry a heavier load, he would have been fine. Not mention the guy was tough as nails and played through all kinds of injuries.

Would like to have seen what Boals could have done with Block. He seemed to plateau after sophomore season, often looking very uncertain on the court. Don't know if that was coaching, playing out of position (injuries) or other. Probably a combination.
