Something happening up there in the Glass City?

Also another note: Wichita State lost five players. I'm guessing Gregg Marshall is headed for bigger things.

6-10 Justyn Hamilton leaving Temple. I believe Ohio was a finalist for him out of h.s.

Alderson was the only regular of the bunch, averaging 5 pts in 24 mins per game. The other three are true freshmen who had little or no playing time.

Toledo also got a verbal commit from Seth Millner, a 6-6 guard who averaged 14 ppg for JUCO Northwest Florida State College. He was at Cleveland St the year before and averaged 7 ppg.

Holy crap, check out his game logs. He only had one game where he didn't hit double-digits in rebounds and that was 8. Unusual for a big man to be able to stay on the court that consistently. Opening night was the only game he didn't play 25+ minutes. Twitter indicates he is looking at bigger programs.

I have no thoughts realistically of him coming to us...just loved what I read.

This is why I'm scared to death of us having a big year next year and BVP going off with another big to help him. I could see Gard or The Mayor or anyone in the Midwest coming after him. To me he's more athletic than Carter and a better inside force.

Not a transfer, but UT jr. pg M. Jackson declares for the draft. I'd guess he's testing the waters but will return. Wondering if BG's Justin Turner will return. I heard he participated in senior night but still has a year of eligibility. I think he has a better shot at the NBA than Jackson.

If Turner participated in Senior Night that makes me think he'll opt for grad transfer...

If Justin Turner returns, Bowling Green should be an overwhelming preseason favorite. Without him, I think the MAC is a bit more open.

With Justin Turner BG is contender. Without him they are like NIU without German. Entering next year Groce will have LCJ and a billion transfers and Kent just got the Mr. Ohio.

Justin Turner officially entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer. Jeff Goodman tweeted he heard from 30 schools almost immediately.

POOF!!! There went BG’s hopes for next season. I knew they wouldn’t win the MAC Tournament as the preseason favorite this year. While it was certainly not how I expected it to happen, it still didn’t occur. But any shot they had for next year just walked out the door on Turner’s back.

The classic mixed emotions from a competing mid-major program. Hate to see great players leave the conference, but...that sure helps our chances next year.

Yes. Although he won that award, he wasn't really highly recruited. Interest from Ohio, Bowling Green, Toledo, Wright State, James Madison, Stony Brook, Youngstown State, Cleveland State.

Ishmael El-Amin leaving Ball State. That's a tough one for them to swallow.

I would think so, unless he's graduating.

Look for Kent to take a big step back next year. Apparently Anthony Roberts is transferring. Kent loses its top five guards and a starting forward. As of now, they return the least scoring production in the MAC.
