Mods, can this get pinned since the team does not have its own board?

https://ohiobobcats.com/sports/wbkb/2019-20/releases/2019...

The Bobcats are an overwhelming favorite to win the regular season and tournament. There aren't really any proven post players, but Boldon wins plenty just putting the best five on the floor and out-athleting, working, and shooting the opponents. Otherwise, this team is absolutely stacked.

The schedule is far more aggressive than last year as it should be. Syracuse and Texas are top 25 teams. Ohio State and Pitt, while big names, are beatable. TCU and Butler are toss-ups.

Go to the games if you can. Good basketball knows no gender.

Women’s basketball now has 25% of the post this year for Volleyball.

I really enjoy watching this team and I'm going to try to be at most home games. This team fights and plays hard each night. Check them out!

I'm not a get off my lawn guy....but is it possible for the mods to create a separate women's basketball board like volleyball? They deserve it and it will be less confusion on this page. No offense, but I don't come to this board to see women's hoops news pinned to the top of the page, but I would go to its own board on this site. Just a suggestion. Thanks...."now get off my lawn"....kidding.

The Women's board has been discussed at great length in years past...no sense re-hashing it. The pinned thread seems like a good idea.

For those of us not in the long time here... can I get a readers digest version on why?

Conversely, some, such as myself, tend to follow the threads re: Bobcat ladies more because they're inside the "Ohio Basketball" board. My two cents anyway. I'm indifferent as to what actually gets decided upon.

I've always wished for a softball board, but not enough action I guess. Would a Ohio Women's athletics page work? We have some awesome teams, never really sure where to go to read about them. I use twitter most often to accomplish this.

Do women even read sports message boards? I don’t see too many interested or posting on here.

There used to a few, but I think our crudeness drove them all away. Or, was it our bad breath. Not really sure. One I remember was Athena, who was a fairly regular contributor at one time. There were a few others who were on frequently. DansMom still comments every now and then. And, there may now be some whose name doesn't give away their gender.

Forgive me then, for assuming that DansMom was female. My bad! ;-)

Anybody know how to watch Tuesday's game at Syracuse? The Orange website says it is on "ACCNX", which is part of ESPN's balkanized channel lineup. It's not a pay-per-view like BTN Plus. You have to subscribe to either a cable provider or a streaming service that includes the ACC Network as part of their package. If you do, then you can stream ACCNX. I don't have cable, but I do have a Sling account. Sling was supposed to include the ACC Network, but then Disney, which owns ESPN, pulled the rug on that deal. And even if I did have cable, it would be Spectrum, which doesn't seem to offer the ACC Network in our area. Any helpful hints?

Well that was a concerning result for the exhibition game. I think Boldon and the ladies would tell you they should have thumped Walsh but it looks like it was a struggle. Didn't shoot the 3 well and turned the ball over a lot.

Not a lot of time to correct things, big game tomorrow at Syracuse. Don't need to win but really hope we put up a good showing and compete.

No need to be worried, the starters played very little against Walsh and did not push the ball up the floor or really run our offense. This game was used to evaluate the bench/new players to see what they could do in game situations. He only subbed some back in at the end of the fourth quarter because players fouling out made it necessary.

Boldon loathes exhibition games and ends up playing the second unit equal or more than the first unit. The second unit had three players foul out, two of which are true freshmen. I have no worries about the first unit... It looks to me like we have five or six rock solid starting caliber players. Need a big to emerge to really complete this rotation. The volleyball transfer from Duquesne may be that person - 10 boards in 20 minutes

I know it wasn't anything close to a normal effort but it still surprised me a bit. We got beat in the 1st quarter. Obviously I am just dissecting a box score and didn't get to see the game. I was impressed we had a freshman out in just 5 minutes of playing time. That might be a record.

Walsh is a good team, saw in person multiple times last year due to playing Hillsdale. Walsh is very solid with a combo of weapons, plus normally they try to scrimmage before, so not sure if that happened or not. Not much to read into, just strap in to tomorrow nite.

Oh Jeff. I will spare you the list of teams they beat and just list the teams that they LOST to:

Ashland
Mercyhurst
Kentucky Wesleyan
Trevecca Nazarene
Lake Erie
Davis & Elkins
Lewis

They are basically Capital. Had the Men's team trailed with 5 minutes to go and escape with a 4 point win, I think we all would have been a little taken aback and concerned by it. That's all I'm saying.

Do a trial subscription to one of the online services that offers ACC Network. I believe Hulu's live TV and YouTube TV offer it.
