. . . check out Boston College and our buddy Jim Christian, who fell to 3-10 today after a loss to Notre Dame. Worse still, check out the ending to a game from a couple of weeks ago:

Incredible video. Never saw that before. It's incredible Christian got the BC job. It's incredible he is still at BC. It's incredible he got the Ohio job when he was getting fired at TCU.

This guy obviously has pictures of someone to keep getting these jobs.

7 years at Boston College and his record is 78-129 (37.7% winning percentage...MY GOD!)

Dude has never won an NCAA Tourney game. Next year, I'm sure he'll be back in the MAC....rumor has it Northern Illinois has an opening. Welcome back to MACtion JC.

The guy was 49-22 at OHIO with a MAC regular season title. The hatred for him is hysterical, the guy needed a job, he took a job, he left that job for triple the salary. I’m sure you would personally turn down a job for trip,e the salary to go back to your home region.

He woefully underperformed at Ohio. Had loaded rosters. And yes good for him for tripling his salary but let’s not go crazy over JC and his short stay in Athens. The players couldn’t stand Christian. He kneecapped the program.

Remember that disaster very well. Epitomized the JC era to me. Never could win a big game, or even look competitive in one. Losing him to BC was addition by subtraction!

2014-2015: 10-20, 5-13 in the MAC
2015-2016: 23-12, 11-7 MAC
2016-2017: 20-11, 11-7 MAC
2017-2018: 14-17, 7-11 MAC
2018-2019: 14-17, 6-12 MAC
2019-2020: 17-15, 8-10 MAC
2020-2021: 6-5, 2-3 MAC

Jim Christian was 49-22 at Ohio, recruited Ohio's most recent guy to get any NBA minutes (N'Dour) and our last MAC POY.

Can you explain to me where you're seeing the addition here? Feels like the results have been consistently worse.

At Ohio he inherited an NCAA sweet 16 team with 5 RETURNING STARTERS! I'm trying to figure out where exactly the right job is for him.

I was at the Ohio-Memphis game. What an epic debacle that was. I will never forget all five starters from the sweet 16 team turning their back to Christian while their coach was talking to them. Like I said, dude is carrying pictures of someone at Boston College to still have a job.

You hate JC, hate Saul, but worship Boals. Funny how BVP and Preston, Saul recruits, are what's keeping us afloat with Wilson. Let's hope Boals starts living up to your expectations or he'll end up at South Dakota Junior College.

And if the guys didn't want to play for JC that's their issue. Sweet 16 run made them a little cocky.

Don't hate JC....don't hate Saul....don't worship Boals. You must not be reading anything I posted this year where I said Boals is held to the same standard as Saul. There are major question marks about the recruits he brought in this year. There are major question marks about losing by double digits consistently to quality MAC teams. If you think I'm giving Boals a free pass, you can't read.

We shot 1 of 20 in the MAC Championship Game from 3 that year.

The year before, we shot 9 of 21.

That was basically the difference.

Watched that one on the tube. Another big game disaster. His MAC record at OHIO was deceptive, because he inherited a team that could have won the MAC on cruise control, which was sort of their gear the whole season.

And what was that teams MAC record the year prior with the same players? To suggest they would have won the MAC on cruise control is practicing some alternate universal thought process.

But isn't that what it's all about - peaking at the right time? When you and I coached I think that was part of the plan. Any way, it was more than a 2 week hot streak. Including the MAC tourmament, before the NCAA run, they won 14 of their last 17 games.

Sure, but let's not have this delusion of grandeur that is existing that 2012 was some great ride season long! Which is exactly what is happening here by some. That team struggled and at times struggled mightily during the regular season. The thought that they were primed to roll the MAC and go deep in the tournament in 2013 is really unfounded in several ways.

I think that was the game where Dambrot had 7-footer Zeke Marshall guarding DJ because Abreu was suspended for drug dealing. Completely neutralized DJ. Brilliant job of coaching that Christian didn't have an answer for.

Wasn't the answer take advantage of Keely's matchup since he wasn't being guarded by Marshall? It's not a coincidence he was our top guy that game.

Only "strugle" was a four game stretch in early January including a 3 point home loss to Robert Morris. Every other game lost that year was on the road including a close loss to Louisville. That team played together under Groce and Ford and had they stayed, would have added LeVert. Change in coach, LeVert doesn't come, and a toxic locker room, and things headed south fast. Heck, one player even opted not to play in the "post season tournament" one year.
