Not relevant to this game, but saw Pavs at O’Hare airport in Chicago earlier today waiting for his flight to Columbus. Didn’t say anything, but thought it was cool.

If you didn’t know who he was, you’d probably never guess he’s a D1 basketball player. He’s def far from a big kid.

These 1st 2 games, on the road, can be a real spark for our boys to start off with 2 road victories.

I'm guessing Ohio will be favored at CMU but not at EMU. Still, hoping for a 2-0 trip to Michigan.

Ohio -5.5 as of right now, seems about right. Central is BAD. This needs to be a W.

Central is 4-9 with 2 wins against non-d1 and a win against Coppin St. (2-15) and App St. (8-6) in the first game of the year.

Ranked 326/365 in KenPom.

How do Sheldon and Hadaway, a senior guard and a senior athletic forward who are playing together for the fourth year, screw up a fast break alley oop?

We will need some other option at point guard next year. If EE can't recognize a back court trap and stop it from materializing into a turnover, he doesn't look like the plugin for graduating Paveletzke.

This team has too many players that add little to no production (unless the opponent is Miami Hamilton). I would consider Sheldon, Breath, Elliot and Conners as players that are limited in what they do to help the cause.

Here's a mind twister for this Tuesday afternoon:

Who is the most disappointing player on this roster thus far?

My answer is Simmons. But in truth it could be any one of 5 guys.

If we were playing Akron, we’d be down 28 points at the half. Is there another team in the country that misses more wide open 3’s than Ohio?

Unable to score off a 4-on-1 fast break three minutes into the game sums up Boals Ball in 2025-2026.

Sheldon getting 12 minutes in the first half is criminal. Watching him play 25-28 minutes per game sure is something to behold. I swear Sheldon has something on Boals. What is the explanation for Boals not telling him to walk after last season? Hell…I’d rather see Walking Bucket brick 3’s then Sheldon.

E2 has pulled a Rush Floyd disappearing act from Freshman year to Sophomore year.

Conners somehow has forgotten how to make a 3.

Other than that…things look great heading into 2026.

I'd go with Simmmons, also. He just seems about half the player he was at UT.

But Simmons sure talks a good game. He gets fouled this season and it's an automatic opportunity for Simmons to get in the face of the player who fouled him, followed by an almost-automatic 1-for-2 at the line.

Just Play The Game!

After I said that Simmons scores five straight early in the half. Prove me wrong, Big Man!

See what happens when forwards make cuts, get position, and the ball handler decides to make the extra pass?

For me its Elliot by a wide margin. He's become a liability at this point.

I don't see how it's Simmons. Not because he hasn't failed to meet expectations, not because he's come a lot closer than Elliott or Hadaway.

Protecting/securing the ball has been a weakness across the whole team this year....
