OUs LONG Driver posted that if he is not drafted he could return.
Where do the rules state this as a fact? I never heard about this rule before.
Please clarify?

GO BOBCATS
I was under the impression that only applied if they did NOT hire an agent, but I could be wrong on that.
Don't know if this is definitive, but it says, yes, undrafted players can return to college, even if they have had an agent.

Even if he goes undrafted there's a slim to none chance that he comes back. Just saying.

Nostradamus, any chance your Charlotte Bobcats (Hornets) pick up JP?

He and LaMelo could have some great hair days - love to see him here and his name has come up - but Hornets 2nd round picks are very late so hoping he's well off the board.

The Cavs, who supposedly like Jason very much, are interested in adding more picks.

Cavs just traded for Ricky Rubio, so it looks like JP won't be landing in Cleveland

Rubio is 30 so a young PG might not be completely out of the question, although I don’t think they have the picks after 3?

I've been following mock drafts for months. I have never heard of that guy from Loyola MD.

Traded for him and picked over Jared Butler, Sharife Cooper, Miles Mcbride, and Ayo Dosunmo. Respect.

33 pick last year got 2 years guaranteed. 34 got 3 year $6 million guaranteed.

i’m guessing he gets the latter. :)

#33 is pretty close to best case scenario for Jason, right?

Jay Bilas said "he's not a good shooter". I don't understand that. I think it's because his form is unorthodox. But he's a good shooter by his stats.

Kinda the opposite of that line from Moneyball.

"If he's such a good hitter, why doesn't he hit good?"

Twitter link embedded in article.

https://www.nbc4i.com/sports/ohios-jason-preston-drafted-... /

Clippers sent pick and money (reported to be up to $1.5 million) for Jason. They really wanted him!!!

Note from another article:

Preston’s first notable action with the Clippers will likely be Aug. 9 in Las Vegas, when they face the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks in Summer League action on ESPNU.

That's a big story and keep in mind this was a deep NBA draft with Jermaine O'Neal level prospects going in the 20's.

The Clippers have to be targeting a veteran point guard in free agency. As one of the analysts said earlier, expect a "roulette" of point guards moving in the next month. But I look at the Clippers current roster and I don't see a single point guard of the future.

25-30. The Clippers picked Grimes from Houston #25 and VCU had a player selected at #26. Those are the two highest mid majors taken, unless you are counting the Gonzaga guys which I don't.

I don't think they're keeping Grimes. They're finalizing a trade with New York to get Keon Johnson, the guy from Tennessee who set the combine vertical record.

Would be interesting if they did keep Grimes. It looked like he and Preston developed a bit of a chemistry at the combine.

Loyola MD somehow shot a first rounder out of their ass.

Grimes too was a top prospect out of HS so he hardly counts as a mid major draft pick. Loyola MD guy shouldn't have been higher than 50.

Preston couldn't have gone too much higher at 6'4 187 guard out of a mid major program. With a one and done 6'8 physique that's different. Almost all of the American guys taken in the first round had amazing high school pedigree.

I don't think he could have landed in a much better spot. He's going to a good team, with a solid coach in Ty Lue, a talented roster with a fair chance at some playing time. We're already considering where we will be able to see the Clippers play this coming season, congrats to Jay Preston!

They were saying this last night about almost every player in the draft and it got kind of annoying.

Can't shoot...not a good shooter...

That could be true for some of these guys as it's like they just look at the athleticism and don't even bother to worry about one of the most important aspects of the game. Hasn't Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz taught these guys anything?

But some of the guys that got drafted were good shooters. Were they Steph Curry? No. But Jesus calm down.
